What do you think about internet marketing?

I was thinking about getting into the field. What do you think about internet marketing? Do you think that it is a worthwhile field to get into? Any advice or suggestions to give a newbie?

This is something I would like to do as well. I think internet marketing would be worthwhile once you make it to a level of living comfortably. You could choose at which time of the day to begin working, won't have to wake up to an alert clock, and more importantly, no boss.

You would be your own boss. And don't get me wrong. I know that client happiness is everything. But I would have the benefit of only working for people and companies that I choose. Often times in life we are stuck working for a company that we don't always agree with.
The best part would be choosing my own hours. Who knows, there might be some travel included with all of this. I was planning on getting my AS degree to lead to getting a second bachelor's in SEO and internet marketing.
