what do you think of girls who play basketball or any sport for that matter?

Hi there Dramae! I think that most people think of girls who are playing basketball as lesbians but I can't really blame them. I've been in our high school's basketball team when I was in third year and only two of us are straight girls. The rest were all lesbians. Personally, though, being in the team and also a straight female, I don't judge girls who play basketball right away because I know that it is possible to play basketball without being a lesbian.

I have a friend who plays basketball, softball and girls football, and she is straight, she plays because it is fun for her and it is a competition, it gives her an adrenalin rush. Playing sports doesn't make you a lesbian, just like if you don't play sports doesn't make you straight.

Hello, I don't think that all girls who play sports are lesbians, but I must say that when I was in high school, the majority of girls on the team were lesbians and less than a handful were heterosexual. Even though this comment may agree with what your guy friend said, it is still wrong to judge and stereotype individuals because you had an experience with something that led you to think that way. On the other hand, as I was saying before, I think women can play sports and not be lesbians. It is good to exercise and engage in physical activity. In high school, I played flag football of all sports because it was fun to me and I liked to run (and I took too much time off from track and field) but I am perfectly straight. Tell your friend to stop judging you, and he may just be jealous.
