to filipinos: do we need a credit card to redeem paypal payment?

Well, I guess the expert here in the Philippines regarding how to verify your PayPal Account had been posted what are the right ways and step to be done to make your PayPal account verified and to be able to withdraw your earning by sending money to your bank account. By the way, the man that I am talking about which is the expert with that matter is spoiledbrat well, he really have the great knowledge regarding that matter, I can say this particular thing because he was the one who help me to get verified my account and to be able to withdraw my funds through my Local Bank. Like what he said, if you want to verify your PayPal account the first thing that you must do is to get a xerox copy of your Identification card and go to the nearest UNIONBANK branch and try to apply E0N Card. The E0N card is a debit card which you can also restore money and you can use it in many things such as when verifying your PayPal. Then when you are already at the Unionbank fill up the form and after filling it up submitt it together with the xerox copy of your Identification card then go and wait atleast two week. After that two week go back again in the branch and bring atleast 350 pesos for the fee of the card and atleast 150 for the initial deposit that will be use to verify your PayPal account. To verify your PayPal account you will be deducted $1.95 and will be return when you are already verified. After getting the card wait atleast two days and apply it in the online banking of Unionbank website then when you already applied you will be able to know when your account has been active when you can already open it in the site. Then after that fill up the form in your PayPal and check the expuse number in your E0N card that you will be able to see at the last 10 transaction. Then after that you are already verified. You will need a credit card to verify your account. My friend said that you can use virtual credit cards to verify your account though im not sure how to do it since i used a card.

i did not get myself an eon card. i think its a bit of a hassle for me to do so anyway... well i just had my paypal linked to my local bank and then i already am withdrawing money from there. you need a credit card to have your paypal verified.

If your husband means you can not withdraw from your Paypal fund without credit card, then he is right. But if he is saying that you can not receive money to your Paypal account without linking any credit card to it, then he is wrong. That's one good thing from Paypal, even if you have not linked yet any credit/debit card to your account, you can still receive payment from anyone. However, there will be limits on how many credit/debit card payments you will receive (I think up to 5 payments) and total amount you can send through your account. The sad truth is, you can not withdraw money from your Paypal account without verifying it. As your husband said, a debit or credit card is needed to verify an account. Your bank account is just for withdrawal purposes because withdrawal from Paypal through credit card is costly. (Members from selected countries such as USA don't need credit card to verify their account. Their bank account is used to verify and fund their Paypal account as well as withdrawing from it.) As @spoiledbrat had shared, it's easy to have an Eon Card from Union Bank. This card can be used as a debit card and bank account at Paypal.

i used my mom's credit card to verify my account..:) may i suggest a VCC or a Virtual Credit Card.. my friend used it to verify her PP account.. you can buy it at $8-$10.. I think VCC is better that EON because EON has an annual fee of Php300+.. but the VCC, you can use it verify your PP and never have to pay annual fees again..
