anybody made any cool pictures on paint? i dont mean just like full on pictures, i mean like also if anyone has gotten an original image and "spruced it up" a bit. i have made a couple, one is my avatar, another is a kangaroo and a sheep (which took forever to try and blend in) and a ninja (by this time i could not be bothered colouring in around the ninja. if you dont look too closesly it almost looks natural, but if u look really closely you can tell it was done in paint. has anybody else made a cool pic on paint? if so what is it, describe it, or if possible provide a pic

Portrait drawing - Computer drawn portrait sketch
Paint is a very basic tool and (I find) quite difficult to get decent results with, on the other hand, Adobe Photoshop is quite hard to learn and, for most people, is far too powerful for what they need to do. I use Irfanview, net.Paint, the Gimp (and a few other specialist tools). net.Paint was originally designed as an extension of MS Paint but has grown to have some quite sophisticated and useful tools. A while back I invested in a graphics tablet (I think it cost me around $50) which has a small pad which you 'write' on with a special pen. This is really excellent for freehand drawing in programs like net.Paint. The attached picture was 'painted' (from a photograph) using my tablet and net.Paint.

Actually, you don't need to be good at drawing! I actually 'traced over' a photo. net.Paint allows you to have 'layers' which is just like putting a piece of tracing paper over a picture (or a piece of clear plastic). You can then choose all sorts of different 'brushes' that look like oil paint or water colour or crayon and simply follow the lines of the photo. If you use a mouse, it is possible but quite hard; using a tablet makes it much easier (and the harder you press, the darker the line, just like drawing with a pencil.) Here's the Amazon UK listing of the cheaper graphics tablets (I have shortened the link): http://fab26b05.linkbucks.com

WHOA! that is really impressive!! i swear, that is really good. wow, now i want to go pay $50 for a graphics tablet. ....but then...im not very good at drawing so it would be a waste of an investment for me. but anyway, i am still in awe from that picture, and as im typing it i cant even see it anymore. thats how good it was.......again, WHOA!

Wow you are quite skillful! My former girlfriend can make images using Paint but not as good as you. You can make a masterpiece out of it. I can't imagine how people can created detailed images when paint is pretty simple. I guess you just have the skills to maximize the use of Paint. I can't use paint unless i'm just making shapes or copying then pasting a screen shoot from my computer.

lol, why thank you modstar. that gives me some self confidence in my skills on paint. i dont really do it as a hobby, i was just trying to waste about half an hour. (ended up taking a lot more, pretty time consuming) but at least it kept me mildly entertained. once again thank you for the confidence boost

Great dude...But I don't think the kangaroo is drawn by you.But the ninja and sheep are really cool.Does this picture have any inner significance.Means I couldn't co relate a kangaroo,a sheep and a ninja. But I haven't tried to do something like this in paint.Whenever I need to edit a photo I use Adobe Photoshop.I think the same thing could be done more quickly in photoshop...

nah that kangaroo wasnt me, it was originally just a kangaroo, but i made it better XD. to be honest with you, no it doesnt have any inner significance. i was really bored, found a picture of a kangaroo and decided to add some other things in, i wish i could draw the kangaroo though, man that'd be cool. and yeh you are probably right about it being done quicker in photoshop, but i cant be bothered paying for stuff over the internet.
