Is our government lying to us again?

I'm afraid they are. Are our Doctors so poor they labeled this flu wrong? I don't think so. I think when they started calling the swine flu by it's real name it hurt the sale of pork so bad our government change the name of it. There had already been a lot of people tested for swine flu and the results came back positive before this name change. Is our government that crooked? Would they put people in possible danger in the name of profit? There is another thing that doesn't sound right. Someone on Fox made the statement that you caught the swine flu by handling live hogs. If that hog has the swine flu germ on the outside of them then you can bet it is in the meat also. It is also an airborne germ from one person to another. That is the reason so many people are wearing the masks out in public. If the germ can move through the air from one person to another then it can also move through the air from a hog that has the germ to a person. The statement was also made that a lot of the pig farmers in Mexico were killing off their hogs trying to stop the spread of the flu. If they were sure it was not swine flue these farmers wouldn't be doing that. We have come to a sad state when we can't even trust our government in matters like this. Makes me wonder how much other stuff they have lied to us about. Art

It will be interesting and revealing when we are finally told the truth, to see just how big the lies were and who was lieing. Remember Nixon? Remember Clinton?

We will never learn the real truth about a lot of it though. It is probably just as well that we don't know the truth about a lot of the junk that goes on in Washington. It would just cause us more problems and maybe some that are very serious. I guess it is to be expected though. If you hire a bunch of lying crooks you better get ready to be cheated. That is actually what we have done and it will continue until the American People are forced to put a stop to it. We could very easily see a time the States are fighting the Federal Government. There is a lot of unrest in some of the states now and it wouldn't take much to get the ball really rolling. Art

I was thinking of this Luke 8:17 (New International Version) 17For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. I believe that the truth is so powerful that it cannot be hidden. It will eventually come out. To those with perceptive vision they can see it long before others.

I am just trying to be careful and cooking more at home. It is a bad flu, and we need to take precautions. It would not surprise me, if we find out it did not even start with the pigs, but by a government trying to control populations or something. I know that is bad to say, but you just never know.

I agree when it comes to our government we can't be sure of anything anymore. All they have to do is just say they did it in the interest of National Security and that makes it just fine. Well it isn't just fine with me. Sure that is bad to say but it isn't nearly as bad to say it as it is to actually do it. Art

They didn't change the name, they just started calling it by the technical name which it's had for years. I guess I can't blame the pork producers for being upset if they were losing money when you can't get it from pork if it's cooked properly which anyone knows you have to do with pork to begin with. I don't see how the name change would put anyone in danger or how those who had been diagnosed before the name change would be affected. I think if someone on Fox News said you can get it from a pig I'd feel perfectly safe walking up and kissing one...lol! Annie

Annie it isn't the eating of the pork after it is cooked that is dangerous. It's the handling of the pork before it is cooked. Unless you wear rubber gloves you can't get the raw pork into a frying pan without handling it raw. What about all the other people that handle it raw? The processing plant that work thousands of people processing pork puts a lot of people on the streets every day that can spread it all over the place. They can take the germ home with them and then their kids can take it to school the next day. I know they didn't change the name. However that is like you and I talking about a car and then I start calling it an automobile. I may be calling it something else but I haven't changed what we are talking about. That was just a lame attempt to try and deceive the people and there is nothing else you can say that will change that. Art

IT is always dangerous to eat undercooked pork. That is why is always said to cook it til it is completely done. Which would kill any germs. So yes it is safe to eat pork as long you cook it righ. You have more likely to get this flu from another person that is infected than from a ham. I do think they are changing the name to stop people from panicing and stop buying or eating pork. Welcome to the ultra pc world we live in. The pork producers are scared of loosing money. So they are throwing a fit over the name. Swine flu has been around for a long time. Mostly it has been in pig and the farmers. But now it has mutated as diseases and viruses do all the time and is now able to infect the general population. As for the killing off of the pigs....some say it is over reacting...some say it isn't. I guess we will have to wait and see who is correct. As for lies....well the government has been telling them for years about a lot of stuff and I figure they will keep lying about stuff in the future.

Yes this puts a spin on things. Haven't seen anything like this since Opraha did her segment on mad cow disease - about killed the cattle market in the US - I don't credit her for anything anymore after that. As for the government telling a lie? This isn't the first. You put the media out there to 'scare' the public and it takes matters off the important issues that they screw us over on.
