How do you post your response, as a 'Response' or 'Comment'

Alot of times I find myself commenting on peoples discussions even though I think you make more posting your comments as a 'Response' to the whole discussion. Do you neglect the comment option because of this or do you do both? I think adding comments give more to the conversation then just yes and no answers and if you try to add what should be a comment as a discussion it really doesnt have the same effect, or does it? How do you go about it? Why are commments less earning anyways since they are so useful to a discussion.

if im initially responding to the discussion topic itself i always reply using response. i only comment when i am replying to another mylotter's response.

If your response is in direct reply to the discussion topic, you should post it as a response. If you wish to add something or comment on somebody else's response, then you should post it as a comment to that particular response. There is no evidence (either way) that comments earn less than responses. The amount paid for a particular post is decided by the proprietary earnings algorithm which is something we are not allowed to speculate about (see the Guidelines).
