Hot chocolate: Marshmallows or No Marshmallows

Marhamellows...all the way. My husband likes to use marshmellow creme too but I haven't tired it yet. I never thought of coolwhip. Do you use water or milk??? I prefer milk but I usually use water cause it's easier to put it in the kettle and go (mixes easier too).

Love the marshmellows. I usually top off the hot chocolate with plenty of small marshmellows and stir them in till they dissolve. Hard to think about this topic right now as we are in what feels like the middle of a hot streak.

I love marshmallows in my Hot Chocolate!!! I feel like something is missing without marshmallows! Ohh, and I love CoolWhip in mine also!! But, sometimes it is tempting to just eat the Coolwhip or Redi Whip all by its self!!!! Don't you love sweet things!!??

When I started university, I used to fill a cup half-full with marshmallows, and then pour hot chocolate over top. I'm amazed I survived.

How have I never seen this discussion? I love marshmellows, which is the whole reason I drink hot chocolate! I do the same thing where I drink it and then add more. But, one of my favorite things to do is to add peppermint ... like a candy cane or just a little disk! Yummy, I think I'll go make some! That's going to be great for the diet!

I do love Marshamallows in my hot chocolate, but if i am on a diet day I would have to go without.

Use both - I use marshmallows and whip cream...I have these giant mugs..I float marshmallows around the ourside and whip cream in the middle. Creativity in eating.

Hi brokentia, Whenever I have hot chocolate I always put a ton of marshmallows in it! I haven't had hot chocolate with whipped cream in it though, will have to try that this winter. Thanks for the idea! Love & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear!

i love marshmellows in hot chocolate too! i like swiss miss for that reason. it comes with the right amount of marshmellows in the packaging. and there are some boxes that have extra marshmellows for marshmellow lovers. i would prefer marshmellows to whipped cream. even fresh cream. something about marshmellows dissolving slower in the hot chocolate that is just so comforting.

We have been having lots of storms lately, last Friday we had I think 29 tornado hit down all over the state (I live in Texas) and there was talk about possible snowing in the panhandle (I don't know if it happened though). And stormy weather is always good weather for hot chocolate & marshmallows.

That sounds so good, i would love it with coolwhip, my son loves the marshmallows though.

In the evening I like mine with a shot of peppermint schnapps, for that chocolatey, minty flavor. A friend told me about this years ago, she and her friends in a ski house used to have it when they came inside from the slopes.

In my hot chcolate i like marshmallows but i ususlly eat all the marshnellows before i drink the chcolate.I also do like wipped cream on top of it, very good

Ooh! With marshmallows, please! Hot chocolate is lovely even without them, but with them it is an extra special treat! Too bad that I have to watch my sugar intake more closely these days and cannot indulge in such things very often. I am so wanting a nice cup of hot chocolate right now! LOL ^_^
