I used to work in the travel industry and I to this day sue Trip Advisor a lot. Its good to keep in mind that some people that post are just silly and have standards that are far to high. Another GREAT sit is Frommers.com. They have all kinds of information on almost every destination from everything of weather to best way to get around to family friendly places. The best tip I'd have is to also always ask for a upgrade. Whether its at a hotel or on a plane. It never hurts to asdk if you can get upgrade, the worse they can say is no. :)
