I have a question about Ciao.com the review site

Often when I am reading and rating other writers' reviews on Ciao I come across a sentence at the very end of the review that states something like this:
"I also have this article posted under my name on dooyoo, CiaoUK, associated content,helium, triond and my personal website."
I was just wondering what the rules are for this because I was under the impression that you can only post reviews exclusively on Ciao.com. Is there a rule that states that if you disclose this information that it is posted elsewhere than it is permitted?

Hello.
For what I know, Ciao don't requires an exclusive publish. I mean you can republish your OWN article/review somewhere else, once you published in Ciao. The important is that the article/review is your own and not copied. For example I've published some of my ciao reviews on Bukisa too.
Be careful with the TOS of the other places where you want publish your articles. If you work on today.com, for example, their tos clearly says you cannot publish what you published on today.com somewhere else.

Thanks so much. It all gets so confusing. Each site has different rules and you have to know which is which in order to make the most from your articles. It's a lot of info to retain.

I once asked long time ago what the rules were about posting reviews vrom Ciao elsewhere and Kaitlin said it was all right as long as you mention where else the review appears, like Associated Content...this way she said, no one can accuse a person of plagiarizing and that it's there own work but just posted at other sites.

Okay, that clears up a lot. I never asked Kaitlin but I suppose if I did this would have been the answer I'd get. Thank you so much for answering.

No, I think you can post your reviews on other sites, but you should note that at the end of your review so that people know it is not plagiarized. I have seen a lot of the honest members do that and that's where I got the idea. I like to post them on Bukisa, Dooyoo, and hopefully other places soon.
