waht antivirus is needed to a regular internet surfer?

Avast and AVG are both great free anti-virus programs that offer great protection for internet surfing, Personally I think Avast has better web protection. It has blocked me from getting so many viruses via web browsing.

I've been using CA Antivirus for the past 2 years and it's quite impressive. The threats are detected instantly and all kinds of virus are handled. Kaspersky is a great antivirus too, it performs in the same way as CA. So whether you go for CA or Kaspersky, you've made a good decision! I can't exactly decide which one's the better among them, since both perform excellently!

I use Kaspersky, and I have no complaints so far. It gives you alerts when you network connection is being tampered with or any network intrusion, suggest which sites are harmful or unsafe, checks your mailbox for any virus of any kind, and few more preventive measures that help you surf the net without a feeling of insecurity.
