After last years season who would ever imagine this. This time last year Rajhastan was the team to beat, and Deccan was at the bottom of the table. This time rajhasthan are struggling and Deccan seem to be on a roll. Rajhasthans batting has been poor and mainly rely on Y Pathan. Deccan on the other hand have a well balanced team, with two of the worlds best opening batsmen. Their bowing is also strong and Ojha has been a star performer. So who do you think will win? I'll go with the Royals. I think theyll find some sought of inspiration and just manage to edge out the Deccan Chargers

Looking at the dismal performance of RR in the last few games, I really find it difficult to believe in them winning the IPL. In this comparison of the two teams, I think Deccan Chargers have a better chance at winning the IPL. Or lets say their fortunes will be better off then the royals. Whether any of these teams will win the IPL, well I dont think either will. Mumbai Indians seem the strongest.

You said 'the IPL'. As far as what I know, the IPL is a tournament and winning 'the IPL' is referred to when a team wins the finals.
You also said 'Whether any of these teams win the IPL, well I dont think either will. Mumbai Indians seem the strongest.
How can you have no winner when there has to be one winner and one looser in every game, except off course when it rains. And Mumbai Indians, where did they come from?
May be you see every match as 'the IPL', and I dont have any problems with that, neither do I want to argue. I am just making a point that the way you structured your response, it seems obvious that you are referring to the tournament as a whole and not this match.

This is not a surprise that everytime when RR won, YK Pathan was awarded man of the match. He is carrying the whole team on his shoulders but we should also not forget the value of Number 3 batsman also, who made 39 but all in all it was one hell of a match. I enjoyed it very much.

Yes, Yusuf Pathan has been a star performer for them since the IPL began last year.
His cameo was really important, it made sure the runs required was brought down really quickly. Those two consecutive sixes were crucial. But you must not forget Raut. He played a cool and calm 36(or so), this was while everyone was focusing on the drama at the other end. And off course L Carseldine, who played a good counter attacking knock after the loss of 3 wickets.

fidel edwards lose is going to be very tough on the chargers but its a good thing they won matches upfront and now they can afford to lose a few matches to fill the spot of edwards.as for rajasthan,i can understand y some indian players have trouble adjusting to the south african pitches but wat about smith?he is the captain but not performing that good on home turf.u cant win matches relying on one player alone for batting.i will still go with rajasthan because i believe chargers will struggle a bit considering their winning streak is broken and lose of a very good opening bowler

Fidel is Playing in tonights game and has already bowled two overs. So far he has given away only 5 runs and got the wicket of Graham Smith. Smith has failed once again hes got a duck. At the moment rajhasthan are struggling at 37/3, but Carseldine is playing well. Lets hope it has an exciting finish.
looks like the star players of the IPL have made it a habbit to get ducks regularly.

Competition seems bit stiff between these two, ya Rajasthan has relied heavily on Yousuf Pathan till now, also managed to win whenever he delivered. So if he does well today Rajasthan has great chance to beat them. But if both are compared Deccan Chargers is by far the better team. Nothing one can predict for this match, also has to see who replaces Edwards in DC, as he has gone back.

Deccan is going to win for sure .They have a well balanced side.they have got the most destructive opening pair gilchrist and gibbs.ojha and r p singh are bowling well.rohith shama is also playing some good cricket.but in the case of rajasthan their batting dept is very weak.yusuf pathan is playing well,he is a hard hitter.he can hit anyone for a six .other than him there is no one who can hit the ball to long distances.absence of shane watson can be seen in their perfomance.there bowling dept. is pretty much strong.kamran khan is a real find for them and shane warne ,i don't think there is a need to say anything.rajasthan royals ,eventhough they are restricting their opponents to small totals becoz of their weak batting line ,thay are not able to persue even that small total.if gibbs and gilchrist are going to get a good start for deccan then it is all over for rajasthan.

yeh Deccan had their chances, especially in the field. There were 2-3 run out opportunities and they missed them. I guess it comes down to doing well on that day. RR played really well though. Unfortunately Deccan were beaten again by Chennai. I wish them luck in games to come

royals won the match but deccan had their chances, didn't utilize them well here they are lost two matches consecutively the misfielding by rohith sharmawas the main reason for deccan's lose.edwards bowled a tight last over nyway well done rajasthan royals

I hipe Deccan will. He is a star, but still a team player. I won't get my socks knocked off, though either way. Chargers mainly are a rouch group. But if you believe they can win.
