When we were kid then our parents always told us to wash our hands before eating. They wanted us to make it a habit so that we can live healthy. Because there are so many thinks full of germs that we touch every time and if we don't wash our hand then they go with in our body and we may fall ill. Every day we touch money and believe me they are full of germs because people use to link their hand and then count money. Have you think of it??

Just like me, especially if I've just come in from work and a ride home on the bus!

Hey arkasen!
Definetly, I deal with a large number of people and area on a daily basis and some of the things that I have seen are utterly disgusting.
I shower in scalding water when I get home at the end of my shift;}

Yes, i do. I think it's one of the most basic hygienic practice known to man. I think it's just proper for us to wash our hands before eating because our hands can accumulate bacteria which can be transferred on our food. Most sickness are transferred this way if we're not careful. The hands are the bridge to transfer sickness as simple as colds so it's a good practice to wash our hands before eating.

hi there! i wash my hands before and after eating to keep off the germs so i could be free of common sicknesses like cold and cough, etc. everyday we get millions of germs in everything we touch such as cellphone, keyboard, money, almost everything. so i think we need to wash our hands before and after eating our meals. i believe prevention is always better than cure. happy earning my friend!

No, I dont wash my hands everytime before eating. I know my mom tried to make a habit of it but then I was never the ideal kid and now that I am an adult, I rarely wash my hands before eating until and unless I see them real dirty like if I have done gardening or cleaned the floor or done dusting etc. If you are talking of regular germs then its always there like when we are outside and like to eat any fast food there is no way we can wash our hands and eat it just like that. Similarly for my child, its compulsory to wash hands if he has really dirtied them otherwise its not necessary to wash everytime before eating anything. I feel its just not feasible.

Not much now that I have hand sanitizers so that it saves me water and soap for later use. Kills 99.9 percent of germs on my hands. It's a frugal way to save money on water and sewage bills.
But I still wash my hands when it comes to taking a bath.

Yes I do too! All those hands that have been touching that money doesn't bear thinking about We could catch anything.
Something I hate to see too is in restaurants or bars where the staff take the coins and then serve the drinks or evne the meals too. That should not be allowed in my opinion.

Washing hands is my most important habit. Before eating something, after eating something, after working, after come back home from outside, before sleep, etc i always wash my hands. In my opinion, keeping our hands clean is the most first thing we can do to preventing from diseases bacterials. This good habit should be taught to children since their early year. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

yes, i wash my hands often. i do this before every time i eat, everytime i reach home, before i set the table, before you prepare meals, everytime i finish my business in the restroom, etc. and these are for sanitary reasons. i also wash my hands before i do my arts and crafts to ensure my work come out clean. washing hands i believe should come to us automatically as blinking our eyes or breathing. this practise is being now passed down to my daughter.

Money is definitely one of the worst! I was always religious about washing my hands before I touched any food when I worked at the bank. Sometimes you could see on your hands just how dirty it was. Definitely gross!
Washing your hands is definitely important. But I do think some people go overboard. All of the antibacterial soaps that people use to wash their hands every hour (ok, exaggeration) is too much. We are killing off our bodies natural defense system!
Honestly, I dont wash my hands every time before I eat. But if I am not touching any of the food because I am only using silverware, it doesnt matter!
