I can't log in to some of the sites I write to. I earn good money from this site previously. So now I plan to buy a Mac because it could. Is this a good brand? What do you recommend for a laptop? What's the best brand? Is the smaller screen better than the bigger one? What would be the ideal specifications? Thanks for any help you would suggest.

hihi...
i am not someone who is very expert in laptops...
but i would like to recommend the brand that i am currently using now, which is sony vaio.
it may not be the cheapest laptop around but i feel that the price is still quite reasonable..
it may not be as pretty as a mac book, but i feel that the design is very sleek and nice..
and the vaio that i am using currently has a full HD screen and the images are really very sharp...and the keyboard is very nice to type on too...
and for vaio, it is preloaded with quite a lot of softwares that i am quite happy with... and sony stuff are of course all very beautiful..

Hey,
I'm not exactly sure what is the best around, but for the best brand I would recommend Asus. They offer superior computing with eco-friendly materials and quality in mind. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

Many of my friend bought acer laptop and they think this brand provide high cost performance computers, perhaps acer could be one of the considerations. For lap top,the
smaller screen the more expensive, perhaps smaller means easier to carrier.

The thing to look into are what you're going to use the laptop for. If you want to use it for photoshop and/or movie editing, you should get one with a nice CPU and enough RAM. If that's the purpose you want to use it for, than I suggest Toshiba Satellite Pro A300D-161.
When buying laptops you should basically look at the CPU, RAM, Video Card and Screen diameter. In my opinion the CPU should be more than 2Ghz and at least be dual core. RAM memory should be at least 1GB or more. 2GB is nice. The screen diameter is up to you, but I would choose one bigger than 14"
