Why do girls keep longer nails on hand?

hi thre rakesh284.. me, i dont really like to have longer nails..i feel it dirty, i keep my nail so short, it makes me feel so clean..and i never put any color on it..i cut it every 3 days..yes, most of young teens now, they love to have longer nails, that sometimes they don't realized that the dirt is getting inside..it's yukky they dont know how to be clean enough.. for me, clean nail makes our body clean..happy mylotting

I believe it goes with the style for most women. I remember having long nails during my High school. but unfortunately, when my nail got hit on the floor after a terrific fall, i decided to cut all of my nails. It has to do with their personality and style, can't blame them, it's fashion.

some girls really like to have a long nails. when you are a kid, you are ordered to cut your nails. it's good because germs will not get into it. when you become big already, you might like to longer your nails. some people are so artistic when it comes to nails. i like the Japanese fashion. the way teens color their nails. however if you are working in such a way that harms your nail or your long nail will put you into hazard, it is not recommended. for example is when you are working in the construction. For those like me who love short nail, i like it because it looks pretty and suit to my fingers.

Most of the girls like to keep long nails as their hobby or as a fashion trend. Nail polish looks good on long nails. Apart from that I don't see any reason for them to grow nail. I always keep my nails short and trimmed!

I dont like keeping longer nails.Personally,I dont think keeping long nails beautiful,instead its kind of light-minded.I always think people keep longer nails pay less attention to their inner heart.Whats more,keeping longer nails looks dirty to me and it can sometimes be dangerous.I cut my nails regularly.lol Thats all about personal views.

Maybe because they find it attractive to have really long nails? Can be. My mom has long nails too. I still remember asking her about 7 years ago why she keeps her nails long. Her response was "because it can be used for self defense". I get it. When someone harasses her, she can easily scratch them with her super long nails. hehe. Hope I helped :)

Hi rakesh I would say long nails make the hand look sexy. I have seen many of my friend with long nails and their hands look good. Thats why we girls like to have long nails but not too long as it will be uncomfortable. Its good to have long nails anyway. We use it as a weapon when we are attacked by strandgers. LOL Thanusha

I am a lady but I don't keep my nails long. I see to it that I trim it regularly. I don't want those long nails for me. Usually, when I have those, my nails just easily get dirty. The reasons for other girls doing that is maybe because of fashion. My brother also keeps his thumb nail long. The reason behind according to him is because of scratching purposes.

yes it teach us from our teacher that we always clean and cut our nails to maintain it to be clean and nice. When you want long nails makes sure that you always clean the dirt form your nails to maintain it's beauty, so that when the people look on your fingers he\she were amaze that you maintain the cleanliness of your nails that had been so long.

It's simply a matter of what they think looks good on them , i love long nails, well when they are polished and especially if they do some painting on it, it looks awesome. I keep my nails as short as possible though, simply because i'm pretty lazy to let them grow and keeping them clean all the time not to mention doing nail polish.

I think some people may find it attracitve to have long finger nails, not me though. I like them mid-length, not too short and not too long. I think it is more hygenic if you keep them a little shorter but I have heard that keeping them too short is not good either. My hands are quiet long and if I have very short fingernails they look kind of wierd. Anyways that's just my opinion if the girl on the public transport is ok with keeping them long, her choice. But it is hard to look after long nails.

well i think that for some girls, it makes them more girly. but for some, it really doesn't matter. for me, i don't care if my girlfriend has long nails or short as long as it looks good and clean on her. and i think that it really depends on the person, some guys here have long pinky nails. i think that it really depends. happy earning!

right the teachers and the school nurse always reminds us that we need to have trim fingernails or clean hands, maybe they forget that, because longer nails can easily have dirt or to be exact germs in it.

It's up to one's favourite.Most of us choose to cut the nails regularly while some don't.The reason always exists.

Maybe some girls think big nails are easy to paint colorfull enamel and turn out to be more beautiful.I don't think so.I always agree on natural beauty which express health and simpleness.

I don't let my nails go longer than usual since I find it dirty. I think those girls were into fashion. I find it pretty if they had long nails with beautiful nail polish. But I don't do that with mine. I think, i more comfortable with short nails instead of long nails.
