Good day to all. Are you tired of receiving chain messages? I got annoyed when I received one specially if the content was: "pass this to a number of people, after this blessing will come to you, if you ignore it, someone close to you will die" That was not a nice joke, right? I don't have enough load at that time so I just ignored it. I had received that many times with different forms but still, the condition is bad. I expect for your opinion to this topic, happy mylotting..=)

Hello boogerman!!! I am also tired of getting chain messages. But I don't care such messages, whatever there is written I never forward them. Because I don't believe them at all. They are just a form of emotional blackmails. Yes I admit with you, that was not a good joke. But we can't blame our friends who send them to us because they are also sent to them by others and they are bound to send to us. No matter we believe it or not, but still it creates some effect on our heart. I think this thing is done in order to collect the number of email addresses. We can see many number of email address to whom the mail is forwarded in each mail. So it helps spammers to spread non sense messages. Sometimes, I think they even get money for doing that. You don't forward it, I won't forward it, and the people who read this post won't forward it. Slowly people will get aware of such messages, and then stop forwarding such messages. Removing this thing from the root is difficult, but still this type of discussions help it reduce to the certain extent. Keep posting and happy mylotting...

You are right, whether we believe or not, it still affects our feelings.

At the least they are a pain as they clog up your e-mail. At worst comments such as the one you receive are nasty and not nice to read. Would be great if they could be banned.

Me too, I receive mostly from my relatives and that was like a threat. So I did not pass it also because it can scare people. Some are saying that it will bring bad luck if ignored. Those maybe really intended to frighten others.

Hi boogerman, Chain messages are probably as old as emails and i have been getting them since i started to get emails. Some chain messages i really like and some are really bad esp if they say you would be harmed if you do not send it to 11 persons or 100 persons. I never send those chain messages and there was one chain message which really got me angry. it was from a girl who had been sending me lots of them and it was on false information on persons suffering from AIDS and HIV. it was such a bad messages that the people who dont know about how AIDS spreads would end up hating the person who has been unfortunate to be infected by this deadly disease. So i gave a piece of my mind and she did apologize to me ( no i am fortunate enough to not to be effected by this disease) but i think she sent that over to 100 persons and the damage was already done:(

That was really a bad joke, it scares people through a wrong belief about aids.

Oh I really hate chain messages! Most times they are from my family and friends. I just delete them all and when they become consistent I send it to my junk folder and isentify them as spam. That way I wont get that anymore. I think chain messages are complete waste of time and if you get them dont even read them. Just delete them.. I never have time to read them anyway...

I believe those are truly annoying, i usually don't receive them much though, normally from my younger counsin only, she's in the age to believe in that kind of chain messages i guess. So far i remember only receiving the type that says, that if you send it to bla bla number of people your loved one is going to marry you and you'll have lots of children. Kay it might be hilarious at first xD But if you keep receiving those it's simply annoying.

I don't believe them I remembered when my classmates received a chain letter that if she don't pass the 100 letters to anyone she going to have a bad luck. When she gave me a letter I don't pass it and I don't waste my time to write one. Only God knows what is our future. Up to now why they want to scare many people on passing these kind of chain messages it is not a nice joke.
