I would love to hear your opinions on this one, cause this Swine Influenza Virus is creating quite a scare amongst the masses. Any myths that surround the virus, that you could share, would be much appreciated. Cause I would want the people to know the myths and facts about Swine Influenza Virus.

no ,it's no need to reject the pork.because the swine influenza virus can infect human beings only by the respiratory tract just like the SARS.if the pork is completely cooked ,it harmless to us.what we shoud do is to keep the air fresh, and avoid going to the crowds

No because you can not get that flu from eating pork. If the flu was transmitted by ingesting the carrier then you would have to be a canable to get the normal flu. It is not intellegent to even folow that line of thought and I am still having problems beliving that there are countries that have banned the import of pork from the US and Mexico because of it. It would be smarter to ban people who do not wash their hands and go to work sick. (although this would not solve the problem either.)

This virus is a swine/avian/human virus, not just the 'swine flu.' That's why they're now trying to call it the aH1N1 virus. Eating pork has nothing to do with it - it didn't come from eating pork in the first place.
Although I don't eat it, pork is as safe now as it ever has been.

No I would not stop eating pig meat because of the swine flu. The swine flu is transmitted from humans to humans and not from pigs to man. Sot there is no need to stop eating pig meat.

I don't eat red meat like pork so i have got no problems with that.. according to the news, pigs don't carry the swine flu virus so it's really safe to eat the it.. swine flu virus is being tranmitted by one person to another.. it's best if we avoid going to crowded places, staying away from people whom we think has the symptoms of influenza A(swine flu), washing our hands often, taking lots of vitamins, etc..

The answer has to be no, because you won't catch swine flu from pig meat.
I work in a meat processing plant as a Quality Assurance Manager and since this nonsense started you would be surprised how many times I have been asked by people if it possible to catch swine flu from pork and bacon.
As with any meat, I would advise that you ensure that it is cooked properly so that it holds a core temperature of 75oC for at least two minutes. And if you need to chill it after cooking then ensure that it cools rapidly so that it reaches a core temperature of 8oC within ninety minutes.
Hope this is helpful.

Swine flu is air borne just like all flu viruses. Pigs don't carry the virus in their flesh. It's safe to eat pork if you normally do. Many people are worried about this, and some farmers are afraid their stock will be destroyed to keep down the virus, but this is ridiculous. Just be sure to wash your hands by rubbing them vigorously for 20 seconds several times a day, eat healthy, try not to come in contact with people who seem sick, and if you get sick, stay home. Even if you're not sick with the flu, your immune system will be compromised when you're sick so you should avoid contact with others.

I agree. Many farmers and worrying that their pigs will be destroyed in this panic being whipped up by the media. What ever happened to checking your facts before you published a news article.

I not eating pork because pork causes diseases, such things are high blood, weather the swine Influenza Virus recently in the news, weather you eat pork or not you didn't escape pain just be sure that you eat a healthy diet, and use it to proper hygiene, move away to people that has a fever or a flu.
