Gosh, we've been hopping and a skipping for days now and seems to be no end in sight! lol No, it's not from working in the woods although we did a little work on Wednesday but it's been other things since. Thursday, I went to my dentist appointment to try on my new bottom dentures which is another story to tell but in a moment.... We've been looking for another suv to buy because the one I had (2002 Chev Tracker) was too small and very top heavy so we wanted something that was wider and a little bit bigger so it wouldn't be so top heavy. Well, on the way back from the dentist, we found another suv and bought it!! It's a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. It's shiny black, very well kept inside and out. It has only 32000 miles on it which is right nice for a four year old suv. The interior is grey and has cloth seats which is what I like. I don't like leather or vinyl because in the summer they get so hot and in the winter, ice cold so cloth seats is perfect for me. We got a wonderful deal at the dealership too and so it all worked out in our favor! BTW, we had refinanced our home to a much lower interest rate so the difference in our house payment pays our suv payment which is financed for three years but we hope to have it paid off sooner than that. We'll see how that goes. ANYWAY.... yesterday hubby and I spent the day at my parents place and I cleaned their house and hubby did all the weeding. Now they're in perfect shape Today is MY house cleaning day! I've done some of the cleaning here and there and today I'm going to tackle the rest of it! My house is so dirty right now but it won't be for long! I know this because it's been three weeks since we've last cleaned it because we've been working so much in the woods or like last week, I didn't feel up to it because of grieving over my dear baby girl Gracie Grace and I still am but I know I have to get myself together and get on with my life and I am and will. Now to tell you about my dentist plans. I'm having the rest of my bottom teeth pulled on Friday, all that's left is roots and caps and there's seven of them in total, all of them are being removed and then a denture will be put in right away. So come Friday, I won't be on here for (guessing here) at least 4 or 5 days because I'm going to knock myself out to keep from feeling the pain. I'm well known to get dry sockets so if I sleep and not be up and about, maybe I can prevent them from happening. We can only hope! Am I nervous? HELL YEAH I'm nervous!! I'm scared out of my mind!! BUT, it has to be done because I'm constantly breaking them so dentures has to be the way to go. Then in about 2 or 3 months, I'm getting implants put in which will hold my dentures in place. I've had implants before on my upper teeth in the back and it doesn't hurt at all. Yes, going through the gums, it does hurt but not the bone in the least. So with a lot of salt water, my gums will heal quite nicely and fast so no worries there, really. But that won't happen till 2 or 3 months from now till my gums have healed from the teeth being pulled or actually, from the roots being dug out. Another thing is, an update on my hearing aids, they're wonderful!! I absolutely love them!! Everything sounds just like it should only louder and I have a volume button too which is all the more better!! Soooooo..... That's my story, that's my song!! Will you tell me yours?

Almost everything but you know, I'm grateful for anything good that comes my way. I just hope the other things such as my brother and his son come around but I doubt they will. Such is life you know because I feel this way, it's their loss, not mine. My parents aren't well and I don't think they'll be around much longer but time will tell. I pray that I'm wrong but I don't know. However, on a lighter note, things are better in a lot of other ways.... thank God!! And thank you!!

Wow you have been busy! I wish I could be doing those things. I am stuck at home playing nurse with my son. I am glad I am able to, but am going stir crazy. I am so tired of the whole thing. It seems like all I am doing is doing meds and caring for him or cleaning. You would think that when my husband is home, he would relieve me a bit, no way. He leaves, even after I have said something to him. I am at my wits end! I would never complain about taking care of him, we are lucky to still have him, but a break would be nice. The good news is, our bathroom remodel has been approved! We will be getting a roll in shower. It will be a complete overhaul. It will make caring for him so much easier when it is finished. The good thing is, we don't have to pay for it!!

I guess I really made my husband sound bad. He has been good, except he just finds things he has to do right now. He is working on things or helping other people. It is just driving me crazy. It takes 2 people to take care of Bryan since he no longer can help with his legs and does not have the strength or balance to help much. He is always in pain, and to tell you how much, he does not take pain medicine after surgeries, but is having charlie horse type spasms in his legs. Pain meds don't help and we cannot give him enough meds to totally help him like the pump did. We do only have one bathroom, but they told us that they would not unhook the toilet until they are ready to hook up the other one. We will have to find somewhere else to get a shower for a few days. They are expecting to have it done in 4 days, once they start. We have not heard from the contracters that were awarded the job, as it was just approved friday. I hope it is soon, though.

I will try again. I have told him over and over, but it just seems like it goes out one ear or the other. I don't think that he thinks I do much all day and that I am just complaining for the heck of it.

There may be things that need doing now but friends will have to wait until my wife got a break. That's what your hubby should be saying. You and your son come first and foremost. You need a break or you're going to go batty and you don't need to do that and your son especially doesn't need that to happen. I do hope you have a talk with him.

Wow! I get tired just reading your posts hon! LOL! Congrats on the new vehicle. I would love to trade my car in but that means a new car payment....and mine's paid for and ALL mine. So that's out of the question for a while. Plus when I took it in to get it smogged finally yesterday (stupid check engine light kept coming on preventing the smog test from passing), the mechanic actually figured out what was kicking the light on all the time. Some little doohickey that lets more or less air in to either kick up the idle when it's cold or when the AC is on, yada yada yada. So hubby thinks he can replace the part himself which will save us over $100. Yaaayyyy!! I bet you'll be so much happier once the new denture is in. I haven't been to a dentist for over twenty years....I can imagine all the fun he's going to have with my teeth once he gets me in that chair! UGH!

I Keep Going And Going And Going - just like the energizer bunny..... something ALWAYS needs doing!
Tell me about it. I am so tired but things need doing so I keep going and going and going like some energizer bunny. lol We had to get something different and the way we saw it was this, car payments and safety or no car payments and little safety. Well safety won out. lol My other suv was paid for too and this one will too soon enough. It's nice to have a mechanic hubby, isn't it? lol I have one too but in fact, he's a bit of a "Jack of all trades" kind of guy because he knows a little about plumbing, electricity, building things and so on. Some things he doesn't know but very few and that comes from being away from family for so long because he was in the Army for 27 years. He had to learn to do things himself which really paid off and saved us a lot of money in the end. You haven't been to the dentist in over 20 years? Are you insane? lol I've been going pretty much my whole life with the exception of my 20's when I didn't have dental insurance for a long time and had to pay out of pocket but then I married my hubby and got the insurance and have been seeing the dentist every 6 months since then and still, I can't keep my teeth because they're so darned brittle. I hate having to have dentures but I don't have much of a choice. Next year, it'll be the top..... fun fun fun.... NOT.

Wow you really have been busy haven't you hon? I have to say Congrats on the new SUV and I am SO pleased that the hearing aids are working! I have a lot of problems with my jaws and somewith my teeth so I understand you wanting to knock yourself out! Been busy here it is just one thing after another, organising the bunnies to the vet for their jabs and check ups , Nialls school prizegiving , Other half getting made redundant and trying to find another job for him, Niamh's friend having sleepovers here, Niamh fracturing her arm whilst out on her bike and having to get a cast on and now what is supposed to be a family day tomorrow will instead be a family trip to the Hospital Fracture Clinic to get the injury reevaluated and the temporary cast changed to a permanent one or at least more permanent than the one she has on! Aaaarrrrghhh and all I want to do is sleep! lol HUgs xxx

I am sure you will have great fun with the God kids - they are just at the right age , not quite teenage tearaways! lol Every time I think I am going t have a quieter time to recover more things crop up! Like tomorrow Niamh has a sponsored walk to raise money for the school and that is fine , Daddy is going with her but half an hour after that is supposed to finish she has been invited to the opemning of an art exhibition she has a picture in and that is a good 15 min drive away plus she has to get changed etc! Aaaarggghh Still and all lets hope nothing else is added on after that! xxx

You've been just as busy if not more so than I! lol Kids will keep you a hoppin and a skippin won't they? lol We're getting our God kids this summer and they'll be here either the end of this month or the first week of June and they'll be here for at least a month. Their ages are 13, 11 and 10. Things are a little better financially this year so we're going to have some fun this summer. I know what you mean about wanting to sleep. I've had a bad day today and finally had to lay down and rest to recharge my batteries and now I'm feeling somewhat better. Tomorrow is another day!

Hey cats! I had 5 teeth pulled at a time on my uppers! It wasn't that terrible and they did put the denture right in! But, unfortunately for me I took it out and was never able to put it back! My dentist had to re-make the inside because it hurt for months! I just wasn't healing well. I had trouble healing when he pulled the three out on the other side! Once he re-did the inside to fit better (he molded it to my mouth) I was ok! I still can't stand them and haven't been able to get used to them! I hate them! I take them out as soon as I come in the house! I have to decide about the bottom too! I only have 7 left also! But, since I am so miserable with the top I am scared to get the bottom done too! I'm on Medicaid so they are really cheaply made! I think that is the real problem! They don't even try to make them nice or fit better! I don't have any post things like you are talking about! That is the right way to do them! I wasn't in pain so much after the pulling. The bone just wasn't healing well even after months! I'm sure you will have an easier time with yours then I did! And I'm so glad to know that your hearing aid is working out so well for you finally!

This Is What It Looks Like - Mini implants is what I'm getting.
Thanks for telling me that Opal! I'll be sure not to take mine out except the next day like my dentist is telling me to. He told me to take them out and rinse my mouth out ever so gently and then put the dentures back in. I have a feeling it's going to be easier said than done. I know this much though, I have some migraine medicine and will be taking those for the first three or four days so I'll stay knocked out. lol I don't want to feel any pain at all except when I wake up long enough to eat and that's it. You really ought to get yourself some new dentures. Maybe then they'll fit properly. I don't know but I can tell you this and I've told my hubby the same thing, do not get your bottoms done until and unless you HAVE to because I watched my grandmother, mother and late fiance fight like crazy with their bottoms dentures. My grandmother and mother finally gave up. My late fiance b!tched and complained and b!tched and complained. So far he's been able to keep his bottoms but will do the same thing I'm doing if and when he has to have them removed. He has a full set of top dentures and has no problems with them. Next year I'll have the tops done. I didn't want to do my bottoms either but mine kept breaking so I have no choice but I'm getting the implants to help hold them in place. It's costing us a pretty bundle to have done but it'll be worth it in the end. God I sooooo hope so!! I figure that being 44 years old, yeah, I've lived half of my life but what about the other half? I need teeth to eat but don't want them flying out of my mouth so why not spend the money and get it done. It's going to cost $5,200. OUCH!! But we only live once so why not make it as good as we can? Besides, payments won't last too too long....
