Just wondering how long everyone sleeps at night (or whenever you sleep). I generally sleep 8 to 9 hours when I can get it. My husband can sleep longer. But I know people who only sleep 4 to 5 hours a night and they are okay. What is the perfect time for you to sleep so you feel your best the next day?

on working days i try to get at least 6 to 7 hours of sleep. i need a minimum of 5 hours of sleep though, if not i won't be able to function properly because i'll have a massive headache. if i'm not working i'll definitely tend to sleep more

Generally, as far as i have seen on all those health sites.....they say its best to sleep atleast 6 hours a day. I sleep about 4-5 hours in night and then work all day till evening. And in holidays i take a nap in the afternoon for 2 hours.

Generally i get around 7 to 8 hours... however sometimes i can sleep for longer, or less depending on what time i get to sleep the night before. Sometimes i can even go for a few days without sleep... i dont always need to sleep

Hi, an adult is supposed to have minimum 6 hours sleep. Lesser than that could cause some cardiac problems.
As for me I sleep 6 to 8 hours and have a habit of sleeping at day time as I get an opportunity to rasp the nice after lunch sleep.

hi there! I sleep normally at midnight because I enjoy watching my favourite tv programmes at about 9pm. Sometimes I sleep 7 to 8 hours but sometimes which is quiet often I sleep much less. It depends though. I work shift hours and for example today I had to begin to work at 5am. Its the first time that the night before I slept at around 10.30pm. Normally because of tv I sleept at midnight so I dont sleep that much. Well it depends how busy I am and if I have to go to work. But what I can say is that I normally sleep very late. When I wake up early and havent had a good sleep, like this morning, I might sleep a little in the afternoon when I can.

I usually go to bed at 11pm and wake up at 6am. 6 to 7 hrs of sleep is very essential to stay healthy and fresh the next day. One of my friend he deliberately slept for 22hrs nonstop without any pills or anything. Is it possible?

I only have 5 to 6 hours of sleep every night. I have so many things to do before I could o to sleep at night and I have to get up early for work the next day. I think I am ok with 6 hours of sleep. There are mornings though when I have to force myself to get up. I cannot give in to the temptation of sleeping in because hubby also has to go to work. On weekends, I try to get 8 hours of sleep.
Have a nice day!

I have to sleep at night time and for me to feel my best and perform at my best I need 7-8 hours of solid good sleep. If I take naps during the day, even if I did not get any sleep the night before I will be unable to sleep at all that night, even if the nap is only a 20 minute cat nap.

i have a body clock set at six hours, i think. no matter what time i sleep in the evening... i'll always wake up six hours later... to the dot. so i rarely sleep in the early evening coz i'd end up waking quite early in the morning too.
anything less than six hours, i'd get sleepy in the afternoon. anything more than that, i'd definitely have a headache for the rest of the morning. :)

I feel best when I get between 6 and 7 hours of sleep. If I sleep for longer I feel groggy...same if I get less. Fortunately for me, I have two dogs who only want me to get between 6 and 7 hours of sleep a night, too.

Most nigths I sleep around six hours. I would love to sleep more, but it is just how my schedule is set right now. Hopefully, in the future, I will be able to change my schedule. I would love to go to bed one night and be able to sleep, without distractions, until I wake up without being woken up by an alarm, person, or baby!
