No, I use Firefox exclusively on my main computer (iMac) and Safari on my minor computer (eMac) - I do not like the feel of Internet Explorer on the Macintosh computers, at least the last time I used it when I updated my systems. I see no reason to change, for the browsers I use perform most adequately.

im using windows 7 beta version...IE 8 is the default browser of windows 7..its quite nice..
some additional features like caches of old pages , page recovery quick when browser window closes suddenly...extra ordinary look is the main feature of internet explorer 8...
i love IE 8..its very faster than previous versions of IE..
happy mylotting..

I have not and may not at all. I may get a new puter and it will be on that one. My daughter is still trying to convince me to install FireFox though as well. I may do that soon and see how it works with FaceBook and their apps.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Tried it - but it wouldn't work with lots of sites. For example, on Facebook I was constantly getting a message saying "You need to upgrade to Internet Explorer 7".
I went back to IE 7 for when I need Internet Explorer or better still, I stick with Firefox.

Internet Explorer is a virus, trojan horse, adware or spyware waiting to happen. You know with anything Microsoft you will need to apply fixes frequently. Often users are encouraged to switch browsers because IE is so vulnerable to attacks:
"According to Microsoft's revised security advisory, this flaw is present in every version of IE in use today, from IE5 all the way through to IE8 Beta 2.
...
I would advise Windows users to consider browsing the Web with anything other than Internet Explorer, at least until Microsoft issues a patch to fix this vulnerability. It is not my intention to over-hype the situation, but as we have seen time and again, attackers are usually very quick to take advantage of flaws in IE because the program is the default browser for close to 80 percent of the planet."
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2008/12/microsoft_big_security_hole_in.html
I don't understand why people continue to use slow, buggy software which is perpetually vulnerable to attacks and in which the manufacturer is negligent and slow in fixing the problem:
"While Internet Explorer in 2008 had a comparable number of security vulnerabilities to Safari and Opera, and significantly fewer than its primary competitor, Mozilla Firefox, its comparative ubiquity has resulted in many more affected computers when vulnerabilities are found. According to research done by security research firm Secunia, Microsoft has not responded as quickly as competitors in fixing security holes and making patches available.[45] The firm also reported 366 vulnerabilities in ActiveX controls, an increase from the prior year."
If it wasn't for the fact that I need a Microsoft OS for PC gaming, I wouldn't use anything made by Microsoft at all.

I'm not using IE, and I do not think that I'll be downloading this one. I have never used IE and because it's very unstable and I prefer Firefox anytime.

Hi,
I haven't tried yet. Because i feel a lot comfortable with mozilla firefox and opera rather than internet explorer. I will definitely try it and continue using it only if i feel satisfactory :)
Cheers,

I do have windows explorer 7 in my computer because it came with window vista home premium. I havent upgraded this version 8 because
1) i hardly ever use IE , i use firefox all the time because i feel firefox is lot better than IE, security wise and speed wise .
2) i am still waiting for all the reports from people.
3) I dont want to download from any site and i havent found it on a site which is trust worthy yet.

You can get it from Microsoft Update. Although I don't use it, I downloaded the upgrade a couple days ago. I use Mozilla Firefox. It's way faster, especially for people with a dial-up connection.
