would you believe that my dog can open our gate with this kind of lock(but bigger ) http://store.eagletruckbody.com/auto/zoomview.php?picture=sidegatelock.jpg&domain=EagleTruckBody.com&copied=YES never trained him to do that. he just imitated people going in and out. then later on it got imitated by another dog. the other dog learned from him. just defending dogs.

I would say it depends on the cat or dog, as with the human species it is the same with the animal kingdom, there are clever ones and stupid ones in all species.

Maybe, cats can be smarter than dogs. Usually pet trainers trained dogs that's why we're familiar with the skills of a dog. But if you would analyze sometimes, cats even not trained have their own skills to impressed his/her owner. Cats are also sweeter than dog for me. Have a nice day
