Awwwright out there, time to be honest! I know this is the age of "40 is now the new 20 and 50 is the new 30" (at least I think that's how it goes?), but how many of you out there had a tough time when you hit the big 40 or the even bigger 50? I hit the big 50 very recently and am having a HORRIBLE time with it!!! Any suggestions? Thanks guys and gals!

At 50 I felt wonderul. I was slim (ish) and healthy and did not have belly fat. i exercised and felt great. When I began Menopause my doctor sat me down and began to give me a talk about I would feel sad because I would be past child bearing and I laughed. I had one hot flash and took HRT for 2 years and thus had no other symptoms of menopause. it was a breeze.
Listen, you are only one day older than yesterday! You've probably lived a lot longer than many of your friends or family memmbers. Get out and enjoy your life. Do something different. if you are depressed then get help to get ou over this hump. It will pass - everything passes. Force yourself to do something different. The only thing that I regret now that I am in my 60's is the loss of my husband and the fact that I am overweight

Yeah! Good for you! You have a wonderful attitude; I am feeling much better, but thanks for the pep talk. I think I am going to adopt a dog from the Humane Society when I get my stimulus check from Social Security this month. I miss having a dog around! I started menopause in my 40's because I had a hystorectomy in my 30's, so I finished it up pretty fast - thank Heavens, but it wasn't that bad. Anyway, thanks again for the pep talk; I will keep your words close if I start feeling sorry for myself again!!!
