Before I used to work for around 18 hours a day and had no pleasures of life and had been a work alcoholic. Now a days I work only for 8 to 10 hours a day. I am now enjoying life with lots of pleasures in life and television and computer and beach and time with family and friends and other things in life. Have you ever been a work alcoholic.

No way... I enjoy my leisure time too much. Work is essential for earning a living but that's all it is. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy the jobs I chose to do, but the line has to be drawn somewhere between work and leisure time. We need to spend time with friends, and to find our freedom every once in a while. Brightest Blessings.

Yes, it's very important that you find the balance. Working a lot brings you money but what good is that if you can't find time to enjoy it? Leisure time is food for the soul.

I also think we can make money by working very hard, but if we don't have time to enjoy it there is no use of hard worked money we make. I also agree that we need to find the balance between work and leisure time.

I worked 100 hrs one week. 24 hrs in one day of the week. I worked doubles every other day at one point in my life, three doubles in one week. Was I a workaholic? No, people called in sick and I couldn't get a replacement, if I left, I could be arrested for neglect in the first instance and the second one, I would have been awol from the County Sheriff's department. I didn't enjoy the pleasures of life because I had no time. Up here, work comes in extremes, none or too much and you don't have much choice in the matter.

When I first discovered myLot and the Internet. I was hooked! I did not know how to train myself to get off of the computer. I was addicted to it! But now, I have learned how to better manage my time here. I am able to have time with my family and for myself..

I used to be a workaholic 5 years ago. Even on weekends, I have to report for work. What I realize then is that I missed a lot of event on my family. I miss the fun way of preparing my eldest sister wedding then, I miss my niece growing up years, I miss attend simple family gathering then. But now, I am back in the circulation, I can attend all functions and events with my family. The feeling of seeing them most of the time makes me really happy.

I have been workaholic a few years before. Do you know what work i did? Well, studying. I was a student and spent my time usually studying a whole lot. Now I feel really bored of studies and it's my entrance exams coming up that drives me nervous. It's vacations here and I can't concentrate on my studies well, so I use mylot to relieve the stress. Regards, AJ
