MyWot For MyLot

Well... we know where the spam comes from. All those desperate people looking to make two cents a day by finding some new referrals. They need to spam in order to find them. It is pretty much the only way for anyone who does not have his own website. But what suck big time on mylot... are the moderators. And the Star rating system.

indeed it failed. But can't helped it, i have started to love mylot now. i cannot just be turn-off with that rating thing.

I like it. I like the concept of rating websites. My only issue was with their rating this site unsafe for children. yes, we have mature content but in no way is it the bulk of the site. I wouldn't be here if it was.

This is a bit disappointing for the mylot site but have noticed a few mylotters have commented on how good this site is...Who cares about this review though...we all love mylot otherwise we wouldn't be here.

I think websiteoutlook.com is better than mywot. what the heck is a wot? All these websites have strange names anymore.

i do not think mylot has failed. you can have the adult comments not shown which i have done.

I see this as yet another skewed and biased representation whose results have been heavily influenced by people that probably never used mylot the way it's supposed to be used in the first place. There are many negative comments about mylot throughout the web and in an absolute majority of cases, these negative comments have been made by people that abused the system and got caught. I've been here 3 years and aside from the occasional gripe, I have nothing but praise for this site. The bottom line - Use mylot as stated in the guidelines and there'll rarely be an issue.

I have never heard of this site. what is it actually. I was wondering why mylot being a good site, not even popular like other sites like orkut or so. May be it needs exposer

Hmmm. That's just silly. Things have to make sense before I believe a bad rating, especially about a place I know I would give a good rating. I was a little wishy washy about coming here before I did but since then, it's been nothing but good. I've been here since April of 2008. Privacy is fine unless you get a stalker, child safety? That doesn't really apply here unless your child can read and discussions amuse them... and you have no filters on.

That seems to be an interesting site. I've bookmarked it to be able to look up other websites. I don't however agree with you assessment that MyLot failed 'miserably'. MyLot is not a site that is marketed to children, so that part doesn't even apply. As far as privacy is concerned, members are told not to disclose personal information, and if they do it's their error in judgement. I find this site to be excellent and a lot of fun to be a part of.

i stay in mylot for a long time, even thought i haven't reach the mini payment,i have real love this site,it is a widely and very good place, not only for a rest but also for got some useful information or make a foreign friends.untill i reach my mini payment and do not received my payment by myself,at that times, i think i will believe that this site was failed. good luck & have a nice day!

How did myLot get such a bad rep!? I love this site, and I don't see anything wrong with it that I would complain about. I'm surprised.

Well let me see: It looks like it gets ratings from people that rated it. So therefore of course people are going to give bad ratings if they are angry with myLot. However it looks like the score has improved perhaps we have added good comments on there, yippie! Pablo

I haven't been on mylot much lately, but in the past I did see alot of adult-oriented discussion. It would be nice if they had a way to put "blocks" on for those who don't wish to see/read that type of content and then the post wouldn't be available for viewing if you opted to have it set that way. Of course that requires that the poster or someone appropriately flag the content as "adult" but I think most people are respectful of that. If Mylot DOES have this feature, someone please tell me because I am unaware of it.

i have my wot and i love it. when you are surfing the web it acts as a extra protective barrier to let you know what sites are safe from releasing your private data if wot ratings vary from very good to very bad and if it is a untrustworthy website it wont open or if somehow it dose my wot changes to red. my lot did not fail wot shows mylot to be a good site what are you looking at? I never used the forums on wot so i dont know what they are saying but now i think i will check it out
