Who has seen the Janpanese cartoon " Monster" or read the book "Monster“?

Recently I have seen the cartoon" Monster". I should say it is a realistic and profound cartoon.It said the cartoon was based on the real events. I really like the cartoon.Anybody have seen it? What do you think of the cartoon?

I don't know if it is based on real events, but the anime is very deep and thought-provoking. I recommend it to everyone and hope to like it as much as I did.
In the future I want to also read the manga, I understand the anime is very faithful to the order provided by the story. What do you think ?
