We all one way or another have encountered a person who can talk politely, sweet and innocent but deep in his/her heart, she/he may not be what she/he appeared to be. A person may talk bluntly, hurt other feelings when she/he says something sarcastic or hurtful thing, but deep inside, she/he is the nicest person ever. Which do you think is worst, evil heart or untamed tongue?

Hm.Personally, I hate the sweet and innocent faces with dark thoughts and feelings hidden inside.People who pretend being extremely polite and kind with me never make me feel safe.I'm trying all the time to take their masks off to see what the real face is.They feel uncomfortable and we can't stand each other. So, evil heart is worst for me.

An evil heart would get unnoticed if the possessor wills it to be so...but an untamed tongue invites scores of problems and malice unlimited.

I would say the distinction is like temporary damage versus permanent damage. You get hurt if a person has got a bitter tongue, but a person with a cruel and evil heart means to have cruel intentions, these are creatures to be avoided at any cost. I think most child molesters, rapists and serial killers are sweet talkers with an ugly, cruel, bad, evil heart within. At your will, you can ignore a person with a bad tongue but this other kind would get near you, win your confidence and then strike a blow. Holy cow get rid of them.
What do you say?

Evil heart is horrifying. So far i can control with people who has untamed tongue. Just reject them and you will win. But if facing the evil hearts, we don't know what's they thoughts and what's on their minds to endanger us. Usually evil hearted people has fake smiles and innocent face. We should learn a little psychology so we can quick recognize someone's thoughts. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

An evil heart is never good. I would never know where I stand with such person. I will never be comfortable. People with untamed tongues, on the other hand, could be difficult. But I think one way of handling those kind of people is to know where are they coming from. Understand why they are like that and be patient with them. I have some friends with sharp tongues. We remain friends because I know they mean well.
Take care!

This is a very interesting discussion!
I think I prefer a person who as you put it (very nicely) has an untamed tongue. That way, you know where you stand. Such persons, maybe because they are very honest, will help you see life better. I also believe that similar persons will also give the best opinion and if s/he gives you a compliment, it will be real.
On the other hand, I don't trust people who are always saying nice things. Sometimes, they definitely don't mean them... especially when they try to hide that deep down they are jealous of you.
So, for me it's an untamed tongue. An evil heart is difficult to change!
