well the first thing to remember is, you're not changing who you are, you are choosing to learn a new skill. much like taking up carpentry or jewellery making.
like any skill, some people will be more naturally inclined to it than others. like some people have a knack for playing an instrument, and others will struggle to get the hang of it.
so what you need to do is start at the beginning.
the best best advice for new Witches I've encountered was in a fictional book, a Hatful of Sky by Terry Pratchett. a young girl asks a teacher where she can find the school for Witchcraft and is told to "open your eyes, then open them again"
instinctively, we have the basis of the skills we need, it's just tuning in to them.
it's good to meditate, work on raising and working energy, and to work at attuning yourself with nature.
and one of the most important things is to read widely, but with a healthy dose of cynicism. after all, a lot of the published stuff out there is complete crap.

HI, my question is why? Why do you want to be a Witch? is it a good thing? to me, I dont want to be a Witch... regular people is fine to me...
I believe, one life born as a human and I have to be good and responsible for everything around and never want more or less... Become a witch is totally out stage for me and I don't know what will do for me either. If I would, I would want to become a great person that everyone love to share with... Is that cuz of magic thing? well, technology is totally awesome and I dont believe in magic thing.

Yes. The witch of the new age. There's something about being a witch that I'd like to know and I'd like to experience.

errrm. Witches ARE human? like carpenters, authors and television presenters (okay, maybe not the tv presenters)
and just like everyone else, Witches have to be responsible for their actions, and just as likely to be good people or bad people as anyone else.

Well, first of all- you can call yourself a witch all you want if that is all you are looking for.
Secondly though, the term witch was applied to those of us who practice the Craft- which is a spiritual path. For the most part, it is a term that has just been around for a long time that no one really bothers with. It is something people easily recognize.
If you are looking to learn more about Paganism and the Craft I suggest reaing some books by Buckland and Cunningham- they are really great for people who are curious about the path and are very easy to understand and follow, especially for the solitary practitioner.
I'm sorry to tell you though that anything you saw on TV or in movies isn't what you will be getting into. The movie the Craft? All wrong and slightly creepy. It would be great if people could control things with their minds, say the name of their God and boom! Magick. But it doesn't work that way.
