Hi everyone! I'm currently using eBay to sell some stuff from my home that I don't really use or have never used. I was wondering if anybody has any tips for selling your stuff on eBay. Are there any good tips or techniques that you use to get the most out of your listings? Thanks.

Ebay is a bit expensive when it comes to fees but if you have good stuff to sell regularly you can make some profit on it.
I sell a lot of electronics on there but I also use other auction sites, many of which are free to list etc. E-bid is a good one.
I usually sell stuff on E-bay as a sort of agent for someone else - there's a few people doing it. Basically it works on the basis that you sell their stuff in an auction for a price, take the money off the customer and then place an order with the company who ships it directly to the customer. You pay the company a lower price which they have agreed with you.
I've only ever had one complaint - the company sent out an incorrect item to a customer once and it caused a bit of hassle but I've sold quite a bit for them. They are a bit slow though and their stock seems to be limited - I think they buy a load of stuff in bulk.
You do have to be careful with E-bay's fees though - the first few times I didn't make as much as I thought I was going to because factor the E-bay fees in because I got myself a bit confused. And if your item doesn't sell then you still pay the E-bay fees but you can't claim them back off the company.
If you are a regular E-bayer and you're interested in doing this, add me as a friend and I will send the details.

Recently, I have been using eBay less and less because the fees they charge have started to increase quite dramatically. So, before I put anything on there, I always make sure that that I can't find anywhere better - if you're selling books, cds, dvds or computer games, I'd recommend amazon and similar sites because their fees are lower. Whatever you do, good luck with your money making!

I see it alot when I'm on eBay... You'll search something expensive & popular like a Xbox 360 & it'll be priced at $0.99 I think the reason that people do this is because eBay charges you a fee for selling stuff on their site. They don't charge you right away, but trust me they will. Another thing that affects the amount they charge you is the amount of time you put that item up for bidding. As well as additional things such as more pictures, etc. If I were you, when you put items up make the page look as professional as possible. Because there are alot of people who get cheated on eBay, & you can clearly recognize a good seller from a bad seller.
