A night away!

I have two kids ages 20 months and 3years. Last night I finaly got to go out for a few hours withouth them! I had a blast! I went with two friends to play air hockey! It was great! Of course I was calling all the time to check on the kids. What do you like to do on your night away from your kids? Do you call and check on them often?

My boy is 8-months-old. Quite often we leave the baby at home and go out for shopping or friends gathering at night. But that would be about 3 hours. Sometimes, I do leave behind my baby with the dad when I need to go to saloon or dentist, or meet up with my girl friends. Last week, it is our first time away from home for a weekend. My parents-in-law helped us to babysit the baby when we were away. My husband called back very often to check on the baby. For me, I seldom call back and check.
