It seems that when life makes you get tuff, like no partying every night, no more round of drinks at the bar, not eating out to dinner as oftten. Have the people you thought were close suddenly disappeared? And when you dump into them what do you say?

There was a time that I was the life of the party, even in the recent past. But my husband and I took a step back and decided that we did not want that life and did not want to be getting a sitter three nights a week. We had children for just that to have a family and for them to be a part of our lives. So we stopped the parties and doing as much with the crazy stuff in the neighborhood. For the longest we still got invited to everything but I have noticed in the recent pas that the invites are slowing down and people I once thought were my friends are just people I wave at now in passing. One in particular I thought we were very close, we went to dinner a few weeks ago and it was odd, like we had nothing to talk about. I guess you grow apart. I know I am doing the right thing for my family and children no regrets.

I always heard when you go through tough times you find out who are your real friends! I am finding it is true. They are only friends when you can come hang out with them and do their stuff.. when you need someone to sit at the hospital with you.. or just be there... it's no longer fun... they disappear! When you bump in to them... it's like all of a sudden they remember and ask how things are going like they expect they are already over... but they are not!
