Formed religion is a joke

As harsh as the title seems, this is how I have come to feel about formed religion. Many people disagree with my views, but i'm simply trying to see if anyone else is in agreement. Undoubtfully, there is no proof that any religion is indeed true, but there is no way to disprove anything that religions preach. Also, I am not saying that I don't believe in a "supreme being," but that formed religion itself is a joke. Most of them believe in the same basic thing, a "god" or supreme being creates life as we know it, and establishes rules that humans must abide to in order to achieve a happy afterlife. The only difference, in my opinion, is the society or culture in which they were first created in, and from there that culture would establish basic rules and laws that agreed with that cultures ideals. I just don't understand why so many religions must fight one another when in reality they all believe in the same basic thing. I say all of this as someone who was brought up in a Roman Catholic family, but after being confirmed realized that I did NOT agree with catholicisms strict views and guilt-trip laws(not going to church is up there with murder in the "sin" department). I disagree with formed religion, but i don't try to push my views on people, i think people should be allowed to believe what they want freely without someone else trying to convert them, something that MANY religious fanatics try to push on people who don't agree with the same things as them.

It is good that people seek their own path to truth. There is no sure way. What we must consider, I believe is that in finding the right path, we must search deep within our heart. If it is righteous, then that path is God's.
Good Day

I wonder to which religion you belong. But you gave in shortest words the Jesus message: To find his realm in your heart.

Well, my view on religon no matter who a person decides to worship is IT'S YOUR SOUL! Only you can determine your eternity, and you are in charge of your own life. Doesn't matter if you attend church or pray to a statue. I was always told that Christianity is about your personal relationship with God, and I agree with that. I personally think that problems with certain religons today, especically Christianity is even though you are in control of your life and soul and the hereafter people still want to judge others because they do not approve of their ways. People would rather judge and condemn than help and encourage. Then people turn away from religon, God, and other things.
I personally like church, I went to church yesterday for the first time in 4 years. It felt good. I was around a group of people that were a little more positive and upbeat than I am used to and it helped my mood. lol Religon gives people something to believe. It also gives people faith. Some people laugh at that but it can improve peoples wellbeing in the long run.
If others choose not to be a part of a religon then it is their choice. And others should not outright judge them for it too. We have the ability to live our own lives and who are we to judge the lives of others? Especially when YES even Christians are NOT perfect!

I am the same, I see every religion has a book of their teachings, well I see it that there can only be one book so which one is the real one, i was watching a show on TV just the other day and they were saying what they think is not true in that book, they even disproved the the birthdate of jesus saying if what was said in the bible was true then Christmas Day should actually be in July. I also think that if Churches were for real doing what they call Gods work then their doors would never be closed and they would not be sitting on so much money while people are starving. To me Churches are just man made structures with men living off the earnings of their flock, I do believe there is something, I am very spiritual but in a completely different way, I think religions put fear into people and preach from books that they put theit own interpretations into to suit themselves...

I completely agree with you. As much as it sounds like i'm talking about "the man," i believe religion was made for one simple reason, and that is to control the masses. People need something to put faith in, and religion is the shoulder that they can lean on. My brother is taking a class that studies the bible in college, and apparently most religion creations are from leaders of countries who use it to control their people or to go to war with other countries in order to expand and have the support of their people.

Well ... as soon as worldly leaders (including many many of the Popes) are MIS-using people's beliefs I wouldn't call this religion anymore, it's simply "Church". Jesus and Buddha aren't founders of churches. They gave out guidelines for everyday life in peace and equilibrium. To follow them in detail creates liberty and peace. This makes them of divine origin because they are valid for eternity.

i think we are entitled to our own views about each thing in our world. so i think each one of us have good views about this formed religions and also there are bad views also and their are neutral views too. Here in our place their are lots of formed religion, so this religions are accepted by the people in our community. But i think we share a little the same view, in the one they preach, it's all the same as the other religions but in different names only, but i do believe in one, it is GOD almighty.
hope this simple thing helped you... ;-)

Nothing i needed help with, just trying to start a discussion thread but thanks for your input, i wish you'd restate it in a manner which i can understand because your grammar is horrible, to the point of what you're typing not being able to be comprehended.
