If you sign up for a paid - to - write site, you have the obligation to constantly to submit articles online to make money. I just wonder how many hours or minutes for you to write an article for submitting? Do you need to revised it after you finish your draft? Because some websites really strict on writing quality, especially grammar.

I am strictly governed by the pay rate. If a website only wants to pay a really low, pathetic pay rate - say $8 or $10 upfront - then I'll spend EXACTLY 10 minutes on their article. That includes research time. (I type at 110 words per minute, so it's not that bad). If a REAL paying market is offering professional rates for my time and effort - like a magazine or professional website paying $800 per article, then I'll spend 8 or 9 hours getting it exactly right. It depends on the market and how much they're paying me for my time.

I think it depends on the topic. I have written articles rather quickly, but I never submit it on the spot. I always walk away and come back to read it again later, even if I only wait thirty minutes or so. On grammar, I am a perfectionist and it has to be just right! I make mistakes, but I am very picky about what I submit!

It does depend on how much research is involved, and of course the length of article you are writing. I can write the first draft of an article quickly, because I touch type. I always spend more time on revising, reworking, editing and proofreading than I do on the actual writing. I take pride in my writing, so I want it to be good quality, with correct grammar and spelling. I take time to make sure it is well written and easy to understand. I would never publish a first draft of an article, because I know it would be full of run-on sentences and long paragraphs. These need to be broken up into shorter sentences and paragraphs, maybe with subheadings added. I also want my articles to be easily found in search results, so I must use the best keywords for SEO.

It can make you feel fruitful to write an article, to share your ideas with others, if you have something in your mind, it will be very swift to write them out, it will take you several minutes or half hour, but if you are trying to write something not familiar, or not ready in mind, it may take longer time.
