I have been working on a few cards two turned out ugly and I won't share them with anyone. No they are truly the ugliest things I have ever made. This one I entered into a challenge on the pink stamper. If you haven't been to the pinkstampers blogspot I highly recomend it!
So what do you think of my card?
Do you like the ice cream cone?

I love this one but know how you feel about crafts you aren't satisfied with - last year I spent weeks working on a custom order baby afhgan. I didn't like the colors the lady picked out from the start, wasn't at all pleased with the result and sure enough she decided she didn't like it either. I learned an important lesson if I don't like it don't let others see it.

Oh man that would suck to have someone do that! Both the cards that were ugly were done according to a card layout in a challenge on pinkstamper and I just couldn't make the layout work for me. I think I am too free spirited to be able to conform to a layout lol. At any rate I hated both of them. I do love this ice cream one though.

#1 lesson I learned was for special orders a non-refundable deposit first. #2 I can always refuse a request (if I don't like it I'm not going to put the love into it that is needed).
I can't for the life of me follow a pattern or anything like 'directions' when it comes to crafts - trail and error until I get it the way I like it.

I do like the ice cream cone! This isn't one of the two that you think are ugly is it? Because I disagree! I have always thought that pink and black were very classy together and I absolutely love the ribbon and bows accents that you have at the bottom. Is the inside blank?

So what will you do with the ugly ones? Send them to people you don't like lol
What a shame to work on something then not like the result. I expect it will happen less often as you continue with your card making though and learn what appeals to your eye.

It's adorable! Simple and sweet. I like that. If I had a need for a card like that, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it!
I love handmade cards so much more than those "stamped out by the thousands" kind. Although there are some great cards like that, I prefer the personal touch of handmade.
I might have put some "sprinkles" on the ice cream cone but that would distract from the simplicity of it which, I think, gives it more charm.

This card is ADORABLE! :-) I use to make cards all of the time. Then my job just took over my life. lol I am a teacher and working extra hours, so it takes up most of my time. Now a days Hallmark gets my business. lol Once in a while though I do bust out my supplies nad make a few cards.
I think this card is great! I love that it's pink and the ice cream cone makes me think of summer!
