Awful Teachers!!!

Your teacher sounds awful. But I have to admit, some of the truest learning I did in school was when teachers were speaking spontaneously, on topics that were not necessarily in the lesson plan. Learning the regular stuff is important, but what I found even more inspiring were the insights that different professors gave honestly and openly. Of course, that only works if they are talking about other important things about the world (and not, for instance, what their favorite breakfast food is--I agree that is just wasted time).
