Will you be daring enough to travel to Mexico amidst the Swine flu outbreak? I won't compromise my health. It is better to be coward and alive than be a brave soul.

Right now, I think it's actually safe to go. I watched the news and focused on how the interviews went. The government admits that the pandemic threat is gone and that everything is going back to normal. So much that schools will be re-opened next week. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I have already been to Mexico, Belize and Guatemala I am glad to say. I luckily don't have any plan to go back to Mexico at the moment. I know flights to Cancun from my local airport have been canceled for the time being. My flight there in 2005 was canceled by the airline due to a hurricane and I went to the Maldives instead. I did manage to go on my trip to Mexico in 2006. In my opinion it is wise to consider safety when visiting a country and swine flu is something I wish to avoid.

Well, most of the countries have banned flights to and from Mexico .So,one may need to travel on one's own Private Helicopter or private jet to do so . Moreover,it would be too risky even then to go there . And I am not thinking of doing that anyway .

Well I will prefer to stay in London here rather to be in Mexico and get the swine flu there. I got many things to handle than lying in some hospital. It is not a matter of cowardice but of taking care of your own health. I sympathise with the people over there but I prefer to stay here. Happymylotting nympha687 ;-)

It's not daring to go to Mexico at the moment, it's irresponsible. There is plenty being written about Swine Flu, but the truth is, nobody knows enough about it to guarantee your safety. Let's face it, Swine Flu is one holiday souvenir we can all do without. We owe it to ourselves and our loved ones to keep healthy. Apart from that, a holiday is meant to be a relaxing experience. Could you relax in Mexico at the moment, especially if those around you started to sneeze? I don't think so!
