Some of these viruses probably are centuries old, but were contained in one place and people of that area were immune to them. Now with world travel, these viruses can be spread all over the world to people who have no immunity to them.
We now have antibiotics and antiviral medications that we fight infections with, but germs of all kinds mutate around those medications and become something else harder to get rid of.
In one sense, world travel is a good thing because we can trade goods and knowledge all over the world, but in another way it isn't so good because disease that was once confined to one area is also spread all over the world.

maybe you are right in somewhere, many viruses should be existing for centries but not be detected before, and it would be spread over the world by something stimulating.I think it must be reason for some of desease we are facing now, but not all of them. I consider the enviroment pollution as a main role in originating the desease rahter than others. we need take care to protect our eviroment!
