I want to purchase a computer in the near future, (I hope) but my funds are too low. Any suggestions on what one is best and will cost me the least amount of money at the same time. But I don't want to sacrifice the quality ie: speed storage etc. Does anyone have any ideas.

Hi, Stirtime! How much is your budget? We can offer suggestions, but we can be of better assistance if you would be more specific of your budget. Also, how do you intend to utilize your computer? Is it for gaming? home use? business? A lot of factor must be considered, but I am sure if you would give us more details, there is a computer just suited for your needs.

I can't do the top elite systems but if everything goes well maybe a couple thousand to work with. I just want something basic for my pix, personal files and a quicker speed when loading downloading and surfing. My current system is ok but old and slower. I don't like the freezing and locking up and I cant figure out if I can uninstall all the auto updates I have or not..lol I'm ok at computing but only enough to get myself in trouble.

laptop or computer? i suggest you buy a laptop since it is portable and u can bring it anywhere.. the cheaper is msi-win or asus.. but the quality is superb.. try it... but if u opted to buy a computer instead, u can try those brand too... kindly check on your area if they carry those brand so u can avail some brand warranty...hope it helps.

Ok I have broadband (cable internet) how does a lap top work with that do I need a wireless device and such to use it in or out of the home. Oh I'm more home bound BTW, but I have thought about getting a hopefully less expensive lap top for my son. I do need a better desk top mine is old and slow and it aggravates me, freezing and such. I want to try to keep the whole deal under a couple thousand for both. I just need a good basic system, with room to move (hate being locked up)(mainly pix and personal files). My son, on the other hand, likes his music, videos and such, he is an excellent musician, plays and records his own stuff (has a recording studio software he would install too, Cakewalk I believe) No, he is not out in any spotlights yet but should be. So anyway this is what I am working with.
