no matter where I am ,I could always meet some door to door salesman around me .
when they try to promote some products to me ,I feel really sick and uncomfortable !
when sometimes I got on the internet, there are also people promoting things to me .
what about your opinion on this topic ?

Even with a sign on the door they still knock. We get the guys selling meat from a truck all the time. I hate to lie but I finally told them I was a vegitarian because they just wont take a no for an answer. They finally haven't been back yet anyway. I know there are some out there that make a living doing it but they are the nice ones that don't harass. I do try be nice because it can't be a fun job. I couldn't do it. But when it gets out of hand I am not polite anymore.

Unfortunately a few have to ruin it for the masses. I understand the honest ones are just trying to make a living.. but the scammers ruin it for us buyers. You talk to them and tell them all kinds of stuff... you don't know for sure if they are really selling the item they present, or that you will get it after you pay with your credit card! Unless you can pay in cash and take it with you right there...you very well could be tossing your money to the wind.
Few years back, the scam was for kids - 10-14 age give or take, and the kids would get a clip board and some appearance looking paper, and go house to house selling magazine subscriptions and the one that sells the most gets to go to camp for free that summer. "No credit cards accepted... I'm just a kid so I can't do that" they'd say. But it turned out, they were just kids scamming people.. you'd buy the subscription, and pay with cash and never get the magazine... and who are you going to call to complain? No one as you weren't given any info on the company or the kid and if you do have a number, the company would say they don't have anything on you.
Another one was where the guy was selling something for INSIDE your home... so you had to let him enter our home, so he could help you choose the item... carpeting and get measurements, roofing, storm windows, tint windows... etc.. just something to get inside your house and take a look! Then suddenly, a few days/weeks later... you are robbed or get a home invasion... the "salesman" was just casing your house to see what you had worth stealing and get the layout and then hit later.
So unfortunately, I say no to all of them. I will look out the window first, if they look like they are selling someting, I dont' even answer the door. IF approached in a parking lot, I say no thank you and keep walking. Unfortunately the honest "salesmen" have to suffer, but ya gotta look out for yourself.
