Just Got New Dentures

I don't know how you all feel about dentures, but I just got some (well some temporary plates for now) and wanted your opinions or suggestions. I just got my teeth pulled last week and have temporary dentures. They look fantastic! I love them! But, right now is an adjustment period. I am healing really well, just have a few sore spots and am going back to the dentist today to get them adjusted a little bit.Those sore spots are killing me! I am doing everything they told me to do...rinse with salt water and use Benzodent (however you spell it) but they still hurt...If not for them, I would be doing great!
I was wondering..do any of you have dentures? Do you have any suggestions or secrets I could use to help ease these sore spots? Like I said, I'm getting an adjustment today but in case I get more, I need some ideas. Maybe something my dentist hasn't thought of.. Thanks for your input!!

I don't have dentures yet, but I have been visiting the dentist in the last few months and had to take out teeth. So by next year - when my dental plan starts again - I will be looking into partial dentures. So although I don't have any ideas or suggestions for you, I really got interested in your post because hey... there might be some solutions for me for next year :):):)

The sore spots are being dealt with. I am feeling a lot better. It just takes a while for the gums to heal but once they do heal things seem to get better. I'm not completely healed, it's only been two weeks so I have a long ways to go yet but I am feeling better.

Hi ya Wyldrose
I don't have dentures myself and don't know of anyone who has any either. What I would suggest is try using a teething gel or an ulcer gel. We have one in the UK called Bonjella which I am sure might help you and it is also an antiseptic gel. I hope your sores get better soon.
