Forgetfullness?

A lovely warm and sunny weekend had me out in the yard busy as a summer bee looking for my next batch of nectar. I did a lot of gardening and landscaping work etc. Now my lawn actually seems bare. Why you ask? I forgot all about my lawn ornaments. My birds, frogs, and squirrel and bunny ornaments. I'll get them out later this week if not today. Do you do a lot of yard work only to finish and find that you forgot something major? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Yes, pretty much always. Sounds like you had a nice weekend. Envious. It rained here all weekend. Ruined so many plans.

We don't have the harsh winters that you have, my friend, so my ornaments stay out all year round. The garden is quite well-established too, so it's mainly weeding and tidying, splitting plants where necessary. I don't have room to grow vegetables annually although I have a big pot with strawberry plants in it, the strawberries kindly donated by the birds along with a couple of redcurrant bushes which they also kindly brought to my garden, lol. Brightest Blessings.

Yep. I have done that also. We have been trying to get our yard together also but we have had alot of rain and the grass needs cut again. We like to do alot of landscaping and we forget this and that over time, especially when rain halts things.

We don't put out lawn ornaments, if we did they would not be there for too long I am sure which is sad. I get a magazine sent to me that has so many really cute lawn ornaments in it. Maybe one day I can live somewhere that I can do that and not have to worry about whether or not they would be there the next morning.

We're going into winter soon, so everything's slowing up in our garden. Even the lawn won't need mowing much for a while. Can't wait to see your lawn ornaments - we have some Mexicans, which my husband inherited from his Gran, and brought back from her farm. They are down in the fernery at the back of the garden.

Hi GRANDPA BOB, I don't have many garden ornaments to put away or take out, what ever in the garden stays on there, yape you can look out at your garden and you can say its all my hard work and relax. Tamara
