A few days back I received an e-mail claiming that I have won 300,000 GB Pounds in the MSN Lottery. I was totally taken aback. For sure I knew that it was a spam mail. But I could not resist the temptation inside me to read through the mail. It had asked for few personal details to be sent to a e-mail ID. I got suspicious and googled it on to find out that this is a way of phising (similar to fishing - where hackers wait for an innocent to fall into their net) I have heard that people have got these messages in the mobile too. (it's vishing here) If you do get do not send out any private information. Did you guys get any e-mails like this?

You are right! Nobody is gonna pay you a penny for free, unless you have spent some money and entered a lottery! We have to doubly cautious when we are dealing with these sort of hackers!

If a person who is innocent or greedy falls a prey to these. I believe we should be more aware of this!

Yes, I get those all the time. It's hard to believe that someone would respond to an email like that and give up all of their personal information. Next thing, their bank account gets drained. I don't open any emails if I don't know who they are from. The Delete button is my best friend. Sometimes I do open them, I reply and say something like "may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits". LOL

There's alot of similar email on the internet. I wonder if someone could got scammed whereas he never attend or join on any lottery before. Perhaps their targets are greedy people out there. I hope netter nowadays are smarter since we can easily to confirm or crosschecking a suspicious information on the internet too. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.
