My first job, was when i was 19 years old, and was in vacance my first year as student.
Was in a fast food, and i was so proud for my first money, i work so hardly for my pocket money...My father teach us that the most "sweet" money are what we gain with our hand. not money who he give us for pocket.
From my first salary, i buy a puppy for my little sister and flowers for my mother...i have a picture, and sometimes when i look this picture i remember all...was great times really.
So, what was your first job?
Was a great moment for you?

I was 17 and that's right after my high school graduation, I was employed at a telegraph company, as a counter clerk, receiving telegrams from customers. This job send me to my college education. I worked in the daytime and study at night. I had finished my college in five and a half years as I can't study full time. I won't forget this job as if not for it, I won't be able to pursue my college studies.

The first way I earned money was by babysitting. It was really great to have that opportunity. I always loved playing with the kids and getting paid for it!
My first real job was when I was 17. I worked at a grocery store. I dont remember getting my first paycheck, but I do remember being glad while I was in high school that I had money of my own. It was nice to be able to go to the movies or go out to eat occassionally.
I think your Dad is a very intelligent man. You definitely learn more by earning your own money than you do by having someone hand it to you!

My first job was as a waitress my senior year of high school. I only had it for four days and felt overwhelmed / drained so I quit it. It was fun while it lasted, even though I was getting a few of the waitresses which would try to train me in different ways and if I didn't do it their way they got mad, lol. So I quit. I don't think they work at the restaurant anymore, and actually I think it's under new management.

Hello icesmile , my very first job was a summer job I got when I was 16 years old. I was doing basic labor of clearing brush and picking up trash and little repair work. I worked only about 10 weeks but it was fun. One of my friends from school was also working at the same place. The following summer I decided to pass on working a summer job again until I graduated from high school.

My very first job was in a survey company. I worked as a surveyor. I was only 17 at that time. It was fun yet very tiring. I was paid 60 pesos a day for an 8 hour job. I went back to school after working for about 6 months in that company. I am very proud to say that I started working at a vey young age.

Thank you for sharing with us your first job experience and all the harvest lol. I worked as an English teacher in a primary school when I was 20. The kids were lovely and I adored them. The salary was good though not high. I was able to support myself and even spare some money to buy gifts andn presents for my little brothers and sisters. I remember I saved most of my salary and gave them to my mum. She works so hard to bring us up and I want to do something in return. She's very happy and proud to have me as her eldest daughter.

i was 15 when i got my first job. i worked at a piercing and tattoo parlor, i never ever pierced or tattooed any one though just worked the cash register. but by 18 i was trained to pierce pinna, industrial, and conches piercings and i stopped at 19 and went off to another country to do my A-levels. it was really fun, if my kids were ever to have a job i highly recommend they find something that they have a passion for otherwise, they'd have nothing to keep them determined to continue on with their job, to make a commitment with their job, to stick to their job.

The real first money I earned for myself was when I was around 9 years old. I sold sugarcoated bread and bread rolls throughout the city. After each day i'll go home exhausted. It wasnt really for the money though, it was because all of my friends are doing it so why not join? Ahaha since then I had this workaholic attitude and it turned out nice.

My first real job that was registered in the government through the requirements of SSS (Social Security System), BIR (for the tax deducted from my salary) and for Philhealth (Philippine Health Insurance System) is being a cashier in a fast food chain here in Philippines known as Jollibee. I was 19 during that time and I was hired and got paid for five months. That job is just contractual so there is really no extension. When I got my first salary I used it as daily allowance because I was in my fourth year in college during that time. I was so proud because I was able to support myself financially and no longer asking help from my uncle and auntie. They were the ones who supported me for the first three years in college. And it feels so good to earn and spend your own money with the things you want. I was so happy because I felt more responsible and more courageous.
I had part time jobs with my relatives when I was 17 years old. Those were only their family business and I worked as an encoder of all the expenditures in a Microsoft Excel. I worked for two months only earning 100 Philippine peso a day. That was during summer 2003. Then I worked again as a volunteer in getting the number of votes for particular senatorial candidates during the 2004 summer elections. While doing that I worked as an intern in one political party youth wing based in Manila. I earned the same amount 100 pesos per day and worked there as well for two months.
All those experiences made me a better person and learned how to deal with others too. It is very fulfilling to have a job and I know we all need it to survive and be able to help others.

I loved my first job and had so much fun. My first job was at an amusement park, Six Flags Over Texas, in Arlington, Texas. It was basically fast food, as I worked in a burger stand. But, we were all youngsters in the stand. Even the managers were only 18 and 19 years old. So everyone was very laid back and liked having a good time and joking around, as long as the work got done. It was a great way to earn money over the summer. I saved most of the money, and used some of it to buy a stereo.

my first job was at 18 years of age. i was a receptionist at my cousin's tuition centre. i had to take care of little kids when the teachers weren't around and did boring data entry job. i was saving money and also killin' time before i started my degree at a university abroad. it was tough but at the same time interestin' coz i always had things given to me. i admit, i was spoilt somewhat but earnin' my own money felt great and i knew i could actually be useful to society... :)
