Dogs trained in prisons

Eight years ago I got a black Lab mixed puppy from a local prison. This dog was fixed, had all the shots, AND was housetrained and well-behaved. He has been the best dog ever and I think it is because of the training he received at the prison. I would strongly reccomend to anyone who was thinking of purchasing a dog to check with the prisons in the area and see if they have a dog program. It really makes a difference when you can actually enjoy your pet and not have to train him or clean up after him. Has anyone else gotten a dog from a program like this?
