God does not exist.

There I said it. I am tired of every discussion being filled with religion no matter what the discussion is. We dont mention the lack of a god in all of our discussions so why do I have to read about how god is the way. God controls me. God is a fictional character who was created to control people. Stop basing your life on a couple books written thousands of years ago. They were wrong! Just like they were wrong to burn witches at the stake. Just like they were wrong to behead wives for not giving a male offspring. Just like the earth isnt flat. I could go on for a while like this. Stop pushing your beliefs!

That's your opinion and you have the right to post it but just as you say stop pushing your beliefs off on people aren't you doing the same by saying "stop basing your life on a couple books written thousands of years ago. They were wrong!" That's kind of making you do what you want others to stop. I'm not trying to bash you but just read what you wrote.

That was the most mature answer I could have ever expected from this post. I appreciate you actually reading the post and not bashing my opinion. Thank you.

No problem or Que Nada as I like to say no one has the right to tell you what you believe only you. I always tell everyone the only opinion that counts is your own and no one elses. Live by that and you'll be fine. I hope you do that, not for me or anyone else but for yourself. And about me being mature...ya not really but thankyou for the compliment. ;)

I disagree, but I plussed you anyway because I admire ya cahunas. I see your point. I don't believe in blind belief in very much, and I don't take the entire book to heart, it's been through to many hands with motive to control the population through fear. There is some form of "God" out there tho, imo. Too many miracles have happened in my lifetime to not believe in some higher power, in my case God, but I don't judge. So, maybe this is considered pushing my belief, but also imo, I believe that people should live and let live to an extent. So what if you don't believe in God? I don't really care, that's your business. Thanks for the ballsy breath of fresh air. --Shannon

VisitorInvasion is not an alien thing, well, it sort of is in a way because it's the theme of one of my traffic exchanges. It would be awfully arrogant to believe we are the only life in this vast universe, but as far as aliens being God, I don't know if I could believe it without seeing it. And as far as God being created to instill fear, that's not what I said. I said I don't believe every word of the Bible because of the hands it has been through over thousands of years. I do believe in the lessons of love, fellowship, peace, etc.

Hello visitorinvasion!!! Well I admit you in a point that the the God is being created as the motive to control the population through fear. This is the point, why I believe the name of God is there. It helps to control the people from tending to do the wrong things. And with fear of the name God, wrong doings are controlled to the greatest extent in this earth, and I have to admire this thing a lot about the name, God. No one actually know the meaning of god perfectly.

Which couple of books are you referring to? Which god says to behead your wife? ( I know Henry VIII of England did, but he was only a king, not a god) And where is it written that the earth is flat? The philosophers of Ancient Greece wrote that there were four elements: earth, wind and fire, of which everything is made. They were wrong about that, but colleges still teach philosophy. So, I suppose that philosophy transcends the mistakes and misconceptions of a few of its practitioners. Aristotle thought that the earth was at the center of the universe, but we still learn from his teachings on logic. So somewhere there are books that say the earth is flat and you should behead your wife...

You are right Mark, people here turn into debate whenever it come to god. There are many believers, and they try to convince others that there is god, and still there are equally other persons, who don't believe in god and tend to prove that thing. There are many things that are being brought into this world through philosophies, and people admire that they are true and spread them like the thing they tell with some thinking is exactly true. With these philosophies, religions are brought into existence, people are attracted towards their philosophy and slowly they turn into religion. Well they are just the convincing capacity. If you have a nice convincing capacity you can still form a new religion, and there is no doubt about that. And so people have their own thinking regarding god, everyone. Not all people totally believe in god, they too have some doubt with the god and that I am sure. And those who say, I don't believe in god, they too have some faith on these things and for this too I am sure. Well these are just the one's opinions...

I never said that it was written, but I said that it was believed to be correct. I am just saying that because beliefs thousands of years ago were believed to be correct and were proven wrong; why cant religious texts written thousand of years ago be wrong? I am not trying to push my disbelief in god on you, or anyone, i am just trying to say that I dont want to have to read about how god is the ultimate power in every post just because thats what you believe. Ultimately, i am saying you are entitled to your opinion but you dont have the right to argue my own. The reason I write this is because a majority of the time I read any posts here, no matter what the subject, it is somehow turned into a religious debate.

Simply because you can't believe in religion does not mean that God does not exist. In case you didn't know, believing has never been important to God. It is important only to religion. Perhaps you should search for God on your own. Sometimes those who search find what they are looking for. Ah,but how many really want to find God???????
