The week before last week, a friend of mine was arrested. I was do her kindly to the detention center to bail her out. I have fill out all the appropriate forms before I can get her out. Now, the court send me a notification about her court date. I wasn't sure why they send me this notice. If she didn't show up that day, won't I be in trouble? I just want to do a good will, nothing else. Now I am involved. I just afraid that they gonna send a further notice again.

Depending on how close you and your friend are.....if you guys have been friend for so long you always know where she is okay, but if not this was not the best decision on your part. You have become a cosigner on her bond. If she doesn't show up for court she will have to go back to jail, and if she doesn't turn herself in, they will come after you. Have you ever seen dog the bounty hunter? Those people that they call to find the person, they are the cosigners. Notice how they always say if we don't get them we are taking you down. Its becuase if she runs, and they can't catch her they are coming after you for the full amount of the bond. How much money did you take in to bail her out. Usually the bail out on bond is 10% so multiply what ever you took in there by 10 and if you don't have it to loose, I would make sure you know where she is at all times.
