Hi everyone!
I was away for a week. I visited our hometown cause’ we still have an apartment that we rent though no one stays there. Every month I travel to our hometown to check on the house and of course, do the cleaning.
Though it’s a tiring responsibility and I hate traveling but its fun seeing my hometown every month and keeping myself updated on what’s going on in the neighborhood. I get to see my friendly neighbors and my relatives also live there. I also get to visit my favorite place and that is the church.
The St. Jude Parochial Church is where I go to mass when I was still living in our hometown. St. Jude plays a big part in my life cause’ I consider him my Patron Saint. I have prayed to him a lot even when I’m not asking for favors. The church is just located near our house so it’s very easy to go to. I really miss the place and whenever I am inside the church for a visit, I feel I am home. Too bad I don’t have a picture of it so I just uploaded St. Jude.
What about you guys? How often do you visit your hometown? Do you have a special place you like to visit or can’t forget about your hometown?

I live in Philadelphia, PA in the USA.
I love to go to the best cheesesteak place in THE UNIVERSE, Delasandro's!!!!!!!!!!!
I also like to get soft pretzels (can be found all over philly).
The art museum is fun. Jog up the steps and hum the Rocky music then get your friends to take pics!
Another fun place is the comcast building. The whole wall is like a giant tv!

Hello there iskayz
I visit my hometown quite regularly as I am only about 2 hours drive away and my mum still lives there. I guess I go about once every 2 months or so and stay for a week. I love to visit the beach, not to swim or anything but just to be there. I enjoyed many a summer there as a kid. My hometown has changed so much over the years with business' coming and going all the time and attempted improvements to the town that don't always work or look nice!

Hey it's good that your hometown is improving even on these times of recession. My hometown too has improved a lot. Many new business establishments has started and gave job opportunities.
It's a good thing too that traveling to your hometown only takes 2 hours. Mine would take me at least 4 hours. Too long for me and tiring but worth it.
happy posting!

Within the county I live in I do have some favorite places and I go to my local town once or twice every week. I like to walk along the coastline and there is currently a big wheel to ride on. I used to love wandered along the pier but due to a fire happening that is currently being rebuilt. The building of a paddling pool is planned to open this summer and since I have a toddler son I am looking forward to that.
Just a bit up the coast is another town with a Victorian pier and a gorgeous coastal walk. It has some trendy shops and it great to look around. I have to catch a bus there and it is a pricey £6.60 day return. I like to go down the coast to a different town that has an attractive old lighthouse. The bus fare there is the same as it is to a town that I love to go to. It has a tor to climb and many crystal shops.

Wow, I can picture how beautiful your hometown is. Especially the lighthouse. You know, I've never seen a real lighthouse except on cross-stitch patterns and they really look nice.
In my hometown near where I live we have a pier too. But not a very delightful site to see. Besides, it's just a small pier where small boats passes by.

i am still living here in my home town and i love being here with my parents and my boyfriend. as time goes by, many things have change and those changes includes places that i havent tried to visit and i want to visit it soon. but still many old places are here like our churches with small renovations and other things that makes me reminds of things that i treasure most like my elementary and high school schools. miss it though!
