I love to dance as well and have been doing so since I was young. I can pretty much dance any kind of style but would have to say that hip hop and breakdancing (bboying) are my favorite dance styles. When I was in highschool, we had a breakdancing crew and we would enter in competitions and do shows as well which we were paid for. I think that bboying is the ultimate dance form as there is absolutely no limitations to how you interpet the music. I have learned that alot of the dance moves we see on tv and from music artists like Omarion and Usher come from breakdancers but they do not get the credit for it. It is also a great way to get and keep in shape as you are constantly moving and using every part of your body to bounce, spin, and balance on.

That is so great! Ive thought about trying out hip hop but worried that I would feel like an idiot since it is very different from my usual styles. I really enjoy watching hip hop, it is very exciting and every one interprates it differently.
I know that one of the reasons I dance is because it is my way of expressing what I'm feeling and I would have to say that shows and compititions are my fav. things. Just being up on that stage is such a great feeling!
Have fun with your hip hop and bboying :)

I have to say dance has been my life for a very long time as well. I do ballet/pointe, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical... basically everything. I also do a little German folk because my ancestry is German. I have my own dance companies which combine these styles together (at least that is what I am working on at this point!). I am excited yet nervous at the same time about how it will all turn out. I look forward to the day when I'm finally ready to stage my first performance with my new company! It seems so far from now but I continue to work on it everyday.

I have been a ballroom dancer - partners got a bit much in the end
then I tried Line Dancing, Got a little too much like leg areobics after a while
I must admit I did enjoy both a lot and now I bellydance
Its great for fitness wonderful to watch and you dont need to rely on a partner who doesnt show half the time and then gets grumpy when you excell past his level.
I have always loved dance, loved watching it as a kid, we also used to dance around our lounge I was a teenager when I learnt ballroom dance, then in my 20's I found bellydance, which was great as I was able to keep dancing when i had kids

I have taken Ballet and Jazz for six years, and lyrical for one. It's SOOO much fun! I took lessons at Fred Astaire Dance Studio for a few months taking Cha-Cha, Waltz, Rumba, Tango, East Coast Swing, Foxtrot, and learned a little bit of West Coast Swing and Mambo/Samba.
All of this dancing is great exercise. I'm a high school senior, homeschooled, and I don't have a set P.E. class. I dance instead.
I've always wanted to get into competitions with East Coast Swing, or Cha-Cha. It looks like so much fun.
