Fingerprint Recognition

I am asked to code a program in Java which allow the users to log in to the program by scanning their fingerprint. I know nothing about these stuffs but I need this to pass. I was told that there is a high chance that there are source code available in the net but I have tried to google it and don't seems to get any result. Any programmer out there who have got any idea where to get the source code, do drop me a message. Lots of thanks T_T
