I have an online store at www.gardentigeress.com that specializes in birdhouses, bird feeders, stepping stones and unique gazing balls and other garden items. I have tried changing products, offering specials, search engines, put a traffic counter on and bought targeted traffic to no avail. I don't know if I am doing something wrong, I am offering the wrong product line or it is simply a bad economy. I am ready to call it quits if I cant get it running and producing better. If you have any ideas that might help share them and by all means take a look at my site and tell me if you see something wrong or that could be improved.

First of all, you might want to think about your products. There isn't too much to choose from. More choise means more people will like something, means more sells. Secondly, remove the counter. It's REALLY not a good idea to show people that there have only been 130 people on your site. On that note, you might want to think about the way your site looks. For example, I wouldn't use a @yahoo email adress for an online shop, rather, I'd go with an @gardentigeress adress. Looks more proffesional.
Another important thing is knowing what will attract people. In general, people will love discounts. So place a 'from 50$ now for 40$' at some items. Even if it's based on nothing, it will still make people want to buy sooner. You could also say something like 'if you buy 2, you get the second one for half the price'. That way, people will buy 2 products instead of one a bit easier.
Lastly, make sure your site is known to people. You could have the best website and the cheapest stuff in the world, that doesn't matter if no one knows that it excists.
Good luck!
