Scripture - John 15:1 - 2
"I am the true vine, and My Father is the Gardener. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful."
As believers we are in Jesus as the branch is in the vine. In the vine there are those branches who does not bear fruit. These branches are removed. Those who say thay are Christians but are not bearing the fruit of Chritianity will be removed and enter eternal fire.
Those branches in the vine that does bear fruit are pruned. The Greek word used here for pruned also means cleaned. Those who bear fruit in Jesus are cleaned by the father who is the Gardener. We are cleaned from our sins through His forgiveness. he enables us to be clean in order to bear more fruit. If we are clean, we can live the life expected of a Christian. To bear fruit means to live in such a way that people not only hear from us that we are Christians, but they see without even hearing. They see something different in the way we treat people, the way we handle situation, etc.
To bear fruit also means to invite others to follow Christ. We do this through our testimoney and rightious living. We are to live a life that shows that we are the branches that are in the vine, and bearing fruit. Live a life that shows that Jesus is in you, amd you in Him
May you be blessed.
