I am sitting here currently downloading 32 songs to burn to a disc and while I am waiting I was thinking....does anyone actually do that anymore? Or am I alone in this old venture? Do you still burn music to cd's?
I know alot of people have done away with CD's with the great invention of the MP3 player or Ipod and we have those in the house, each of us has one so there are 5 of them floating around in various rooms right now....2 of my kids are actually using theirs as I type but I am downloading songs for the kids to listen to when they are going to sleep or whatever. As well as some other misc kid songs that I can find. I have alot of the disney soundtracks ready to burn as well so by the time I am done I should have like 4 or 5 to burn for them.
How often to you burn cd's if you still do?!? Why do you do it still? Do you have an ipod or mp3 player?

I've wanted to burn CD's for quite some time now but I can't because my CD drive doesn't want to burn CD's anymore. It worked for awhile but it hasn't worked for a few years now. It will play CD's and play DVD's but for the life of me I can't burn CD's anymore and I've got plenty of music I'd like to burn to CD's too!

Mine wasnt working for a few weeks either. I deleted something and it just stopped working one day. I ended up just going to system restore and picking a date that I knew it was working on and letting it do it that way....and TAH DAH it works again!!! :)
might wanna try that! :)

I'm a dinosaur & YES I still burn CDs. I have an iPod but I feel safer with a CD. What if my iPod & my computer crash on the same day & I lose my music??? Probably ain't gonna happen, but it could. My CD is my back up for my music. A lot of times while on myLot, I have my my CD in my drive & music playing in the background!!!

I haven't burned a cd in like a year! Which is crazy because I use to burn them all of the time. I don't really know why I stopped. The biggest reason was probably because I quit downloading music online. Now I use a site called www.playlist.com . You can play the songs you want to hear and not have to worry about downloads. You can't of course use them to make cds though. I mostly just listen to the radio when I'm in the car. Or I buy cds once in a while. If I'm going to the gym, I use my Ipod.

I used to burn them alot too and then stopped as well for a while. I saw them in the store not too long ago and picked some up. I had to get the colored ones..lol of course. I usually listen to the radio in the car as well. I like having different people, songs and beats to listen to.

My husband and I have only 1 ipod for the 2 of us. That means only one of us can use it at a time! It makes it hard when we are in different places and we both want to use it. But we manage - it isnt worth the money to buy a new one!
I have copied several of my CD's onto other disc's. I leave them in my car. I dont want to leave the orginals there because they too often get scratched or misplaced. This way, I can always make another copy for myself if I need to!
So far, this the best option for me and my husband without spending a lot of money! So, no, you are not alone in burning CD's. I dont do it often, but I still do sometimes!

I used to burn cds when i was in college. Now i do't burn cds as i have the pen drive with me.I have to just plug it in a usb connection and i can transfer all my files. If i need to give files to my friends then i will consider burning it on a cd.In my uncles place recently i burned a set of photos to see in a dvd player. But it never worked because the player took time to read the photos.

Yes, I still burn Cd's not as much as I used to though. When I first got my new computer last year, I think I spend days burning CD's. After while like a lot of things the excitement of being able to do this wore off. Now I just download songs every once in a while, so I can listen to them on my CD player in the car or living room.

I do still burn alot of CDs. I burn about one a week usually. I have an iPod with all my music on it as well, but my stereo in my car doesn't have the AUX input so I dont listen to it in my car. I love burning CDs. It lets you download all the good hot new music and listen to it rather than having to buy the whole CD! ITS awesome. I love it!

In the past, I burn CD's every week for new songs I downloaded. But now that I have my trusty Ipod, I don't burn music CD's anymore. I just update my Ipod with the new songs I downloaded. Nowadays, I just burn CD's for my pictures for back-up. That is the only reason I burn CD's in the present.

I used to burn CD's ALL the time, even though I had them on my ipod, I commuted to school an hour and a half each way 5 days a week and I had no way to listen to my ipod in the car, so I'd burn CD's of all my music. Since I got my little iTrip ipod player for my car, I just slap together a playlist and listen to that. It's so much easier and I can make it as long as I want and continue listening to it on my ipod player at work.

Yes, we still burn CDs, I know there are already a lot of other ways to save and listen to songs but it so happens that our stereo in the car plays CDs. We haven't figured out how to connect my husband's ipod to the car stereo so that we can play his songs in the car. We are slowly working on it though. hehehe One more thing is that they say that CDs can't catch any virus so I guess important songs or files are better backed up in CDs.

I am still doing it! I am collecting songs of my favorite artist from their albums because my MP4 is only 1gb. I love music and music is my life so I must have my favorite song with me. What if my MP4 became defective, I will have no other sources if I will not burn songs to cd.

I have to burn CD's sometimes.
One of my friends doesn't have computer at his place.
He never thought that it will be useful and so never purchased so whenever he want's to watch some movie or listen to some song he approaches me with some blank CD's and asks me to burn those content in that CD's so that he can watch it using his home theater system.

My phone can save songs and I have all my favorite songs in it but I still want to burn it on cd's so I can listen to it while I'm at home cleaning.I put it on the cd player and play it as loud as I want it.It's more fun to listen to cd's that you have burned yourself.

I still burn CDs but very rarely and I prefer to buy the actual original albums if I have the money - I like the supporting the artists I love. Also, sometimes I just prefer to have the original. Seems something that a fan would do rather than someone who is ripping off someone else who worked hard to make something wonderful. I have a lot of burnt discs {admittedly} but I wish a lot of them weren't. Most of them are mixed anyway.
